VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: @anamikavial This will be Anamika Vials 3rd year at Bread Fest and we are truly honored to welcome them back this year. Here is a little about them by them: "Anamika Vial Bakeshop, founded in 2024, started as a pretzel pop-up focused on Southern German–style soft pretzels. It has since expanded to include flavored pretzel chips and a variety of seasonal sweet products, all inspired by continental Europe’s rich bread traditions. With over five years of professional baking experience, Anamika Vial brings authentic, thoughtfully crafted bread snacks to life." Current Product range: Soft pretzels (offered plain or choice of sweet or hot imported german mustard, or european butter) hard pretzel chips (flavors include traditional salted, honey mustard, garlic ranch and hot paprika), and german brioche tarts (“streuseltaler”) which are a very buttery brioche base filled with some kind of filling (flavors historically have included seasonal fruit jam, brown butter cinnamon, almond frangipane, apricot walnut, apple pie) and then they are topped with a crunchy streusel topping. I also offer focaccia squares now, usually topped with herbs and salt. Few people can truly appreciate the simplistic beauty of a soft pretzel as a German himself. When I first discovered @anamikavial, the standout pretzel popup at PDX’s biggest local markets, it transported me right back to Southern Germany, where both my Mom and I came from. Pizza is life! Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating 20 YEARS at Ken’s Artisan Pizza last night. An evening among friends, family and neighbors—with non-stop pizza from Chef Jesse and the Ken’s team, and cookbook signings with Ken himself! A big thank you to Aperol, who brought the spritzes and SWAG! We also loved having Lone Mire Coffee and Anamika Vial Bakeshop, two local companies started by staff members at Ken’s Artisan Pizza. 20 years—wow! We are so grateful for the incredible team who make the pizza magic happen every night, and for your support over the last two decades. Here’s to many more!

This weekend we're doing a bunch of fruit related things - and since fruit is nature's snack, we're calling Saturday (6/27) "Snackfest 2026" because why not? Here's some details: 6/26 (Friday) @bullruncider & @portlandfruittreeproject Backyard Blend Release Kolin from @bullruncider will be on hand to discuss their latest hyper local release featuring apples gleaned by @portlandfruittreeproject Plus: @thegoodbirdpnw will be here with fried chicken sandwiches and wings - plus they'll have a special RhubarBBQ sauce made by @portlandfruittreeproject ------------ 6/27 (Saturday) SNACKFEST 2026 w/@anamikavial @pierogiwarehouse @thedevilsyolk 12-4pm From pretzels to pierogi to deviled eggs to snack mix (and more), we've got a handful of food vendors who make great food, but not exactly a "meal" - so we decided to get a few of them together for an afternoon and call it the dumbest name we could come up with: SNACKFEST 2026 And since fruit is nature's snack (or something) we're also going to tap a bunch of fruited beers from: @breakside @funkyfaunabeer @fortgeorgebeer @wayfinderbeer @terranautbeer and more ------------- 6/29 (Monday) @gingercultgingerbeer Cycle Cult Bike Ride Get here at 6pm to watch the World Cup to grab a Watermelon Ginger Beer, and after the game is over Aaron from @gingercultgingerbeer will lead a mystery bike ride around Inner SE for the Full Moon!
