🥃 PÁRAMO

Some things are more haunting than death itself.

Love, obsession, regret, and the silence left behind by everything we could never hold on to.

Inspired by Juan Rulfo’s Pedro Páramo, a story where love becomes an obsession, power leads to destruction, and the past refuses to release its grip on the living.

This new interpretation of PÁRAMO brings together the warmth of @argonautbrandy , the richness of coffee, the sweetness of banana and pumpkin, and a delicate touch of citrus.

A contrast of sweetness and darkness, warmth and bitterness, beauty and decay.

Much like the novel itself, not everything is revealed at once. Some things are meant to be discovered slowly.

PÁRAMO. Even the sweetest memories cast shadows. 📸 photos by @caraalilli

To build community amongst various neighborhoods, establishments and personal identities, let’s gather to celebrate bartenders, cocktails and camaraderie.

USBG SF member James Nordine of The Cinch Saloon, recently won the USBG Cocktail Championship West Regionals in Portland, Oregon. James will represent our chapter in the national finals @tales_of_the_cocktail next month. Join us to enjoy his winning cocktail, presented in the @international_bartenders_iba competition format.

Our happy hour is generously hosted by the Sazerac portfolio. Meet local chapter leaders and new proprietor of The Cinch Saloon, Scott Daniel Taylor.

Sherry Cobbler
A harmonious blend of @argonautbrandy , @bodegaslustau Oloroso Sherry, and @officialvyavermouth , complemented by fresh orange juice and pineapple gomme syrup. Notes of toasted nuts, dried fruit, warm spice, and bright citrus come together with a subtle tropical sweetness for a perfectly balanced and refreshing low-ABV cocktail ideal for these spring days. #stokesadobe #mexicanbartender #california #classiccoktails

I am finally starting to feel settled back in at home and recovered from all the love received at the @usbg Bar Summit in Philadelphia last week!

As per usual, I don't feel like I took enough photos but I aimed to exist more fully in the moment and am so grateful for the recharge time with my peeps ♡

USBG Philly, your chapter threw one heck of a shindig. It was lovely to see you all in your element. Thank you for the hospitality!

We had some incredible seminars with powerhouse speakers and it was a privilege to be a small part of the seminar selection committee process. I learned so much and can't wait to take what I learned and utilize it to empower more people and communities 💗

We continued the Integrity in Leadership Award tradition by snagging a quick photo of all four of us. Congratulations, Reza - it is beautiful to see your hard work and dedication to your community be fully recognized!

We also snapped a quick shot of some of the folks helping facilitate @safebarnetwork trainings across the country - thank you Naomi, Dakota, and Mike! ♡

Finally, after peopling for many days in a row, we capped our trip with pasta and fire-melted cheese!! A very fine end toa. Very fine trip 💖

Reflecting on an extraordinary day of expert education and historic cocktail inspiration, with the maestro David Wondrich. @splificator thank you for documenting the #BrandyCocktailTree to illustrate brandy’s influence on #classiccocktails.

Also grateful to host a dynamic group of industry friends in celebration of #GoldRushDay and #CaliforniaBrandy. We explored Argonaut in its purest form and masterful drinks by @erikbadkins and the @amador.club team.
