I’ve spent the past week trying to figure out how to correctly word how much this experience, this sport, these people, & these memories mean to me, but it simply is just inexplicable. 12 years in the making for this feeling… literal blood, so much sweat, and a TON of tears. A lot of losing but even more learning.

I started my cheer career at 12 years old at the Midwest’s greatest gym, KC Cheer, where I completely fell in love and cheered there until I graduated high school. Then I moved to North Carolina at 17 by myself, holding off on college for two years to progress my athletic ability and continue experiencing the excitement and adrenaline that is Allstar Cheerleading at CEA Raleigh.
Four years ago I took out the bow, hung up the shoes, and started a new life across the country in California that didn’t include cheerleading. Not physically at least, for I still reminisced the memories everyday, worked out to cheer mix’s, kept up with competitions, and showed old routines to anyone who would watch.
Throughout all the triumphs and heartbreak, the greatest lesson I’ve learned is that there is always a plan even better than the one you’ve envisioned. That especially rang true when I received the invitation to be a Spice Girl this January by my best friend, former teammate, & cheerleading legend @suttonhodges. A team full of retired athletes across 7 states who all shared not only an immense passion for the sport, but the absolute blessing of being coached by the icon @cullentaylorr. The idea of giving this entire experience one more go sent a shiver down my spine and that flight to Denver Colorado was BOOKED. Now here we are in May, your 2025 Summit Champions. That doesn’t even sound real. Even though our time together was short, I truly couldn’t love this team more. Maybe we’re all absolutely crazybut we’re psychos who can hit 0 deduction routines. ROCK CHEER SPICE GIRLS FOR LIFE💙🩵
