Late night #tbt remembering dear colleague and teacher, #JimYood. When he died last month, I shied away from much mention on social media, opting to remember him among friends IRL vs URL. But earlier this week, when @artforum released this astute, generous essay by @michelleagrabner , I was moved to tears - as the everyday reality set in of the immense loss found in his absence.
Here are some images of what Jim enjoyed and did so well among young artists, walking with us, teaching us, and making more room for us, as he always had. A beneficiary myself, as far back as my first day in grad school, I can't be thankful enough.

And just like that, I'm headed back to Chicago. Far too much than I could keep up with to regularly post, I'm sad to report. What an incredible, intense, fantastic few weeks spent in Roma, Milano, and Venezia, shared with a whole lot of wonderful people: (ONE!)
