If you want a flower to grow and flourish you feed and water it, why don’t you do that for yourself?

I’m calling you out the way I wish I was. You can train as hard as you want, but if you’re not eating enough to support it you’re stalling your own progress. Muscle growth is extremely intense and energy demanding. Weight training is what creates the stimulus for hypertrophy, BUT your body still needs proper energy and nutrients to repair damaged tissue and build new muscle. Chronically under eating can cause a few things to happen including muscle protein synthesis coming to a stop, glycogen stores becoming harder to replenish, and recovery between training sessions suffer. Over time all of these can affect your training performance and ability to progressively overload.

Carbs are SO important because glycogen is a major fuel source during training. If you’re constantly showing up to your sessions under fuelled then you aren’t getting the most out of them and leaving some glute gains on the table.
Sure you can build muscle in a calorie deficit, but it increases risk of injury, is counterproductive, and less efficient especially as you become leaner.

SOOOOO If your goal is to grow, your nutrition needs to reflect that. You can’t expect your body to prioritize building new muscle while consistently giving it the bare minimum to work with.

I’ve been working on my @summershreddingchampionship transformation video since December of last year.

Why?

Yes, because it’s important to the class. But this video is Soooo much more than that to me.

It’s the final peice of this chapter, and the start of the next one.

Il be pressing “Post” the Second it starts playing on the big screen on Sept 19th….. in 5 days.

This is BY FAR the best peice of content…. I’ve EVER produced.

And then, I got @jesse.mediaa to come in and help me finalize it because there was some editing aspects I needed help to make come to life. And did he ever deliver.
