Today I feel the deep need to give recognition to a few people in the training/nutrition/fitness industry who I truly believe do what they do to change lives and better people.
@shawnreardon_x365fitness provoked this post today with his humility as a coach, and clear dedication to his client, when he openly admitted to not knowing all the answers but doing everything in his power to get his client taken care of. He collaborated with me and others to provide the utmost care for a client. This is absolutely inspiring to me. Someone who doesn’t claim to know everything, but will stop at nothing to support his people! 🙌🏻🙏👏 Shout out to all my comrades who I personally know, do the same! ❤️🙌🏻🙏😘 #trainerssupportingtrainers #comradery #teamwork #supporteachother #Takingcareofclients #wehelpeachother #UtahFitness

I want to talk about insecurities for a second. Who has them? 🙋‍♀️ I used to be the worst. I had some pretty severe eating disorders from the age of 12 until a few years back (I’m 30 by the way.). Grouped with those- I’m a woman, I’m human, I’ve had shitty experiences, been hurt, put-down, and gone through life like everyone else.
When bad things happen to us to alter our perspective, a lot of us tend to believe the negativity. This is never good. But we do it. Why? Because maybe it’s easier? I don’t know. But once we make that choice- it becomes our “truth.” Did you know you had another choice? Did you know you can tell those insecurities to fly a kite? You can walk away from toxicity. You can choose to believe the positive. You can find beauty in the flaws. You absolutely have a choice!

I deem myself as a very confident, happy person. But you know what? It took some serious practice and it’s always a “weeding out” process. I used to hate these big-ol legs. My waist was never small enough. Good Lord, my hips are huge! I went through my adolescence believing I wasn’t intelligent or worthy (trust me, I had amazing support at home- it’s part of growing up.) Those were some of my truths for a long, long time.

However- somewhere a long the line, I started embracing my muscly legs, and decided I was worthy of love and whatever the hell I want in life! I have made choices time, and time again, to absolutely love myself and find beauty and inspiration every day. Every day.

Has someone hurt you? Me too. But you know what? It wasn’t about us. They were hurting too. When somebody puts you down- more often than not it’s a reflection of their own insecurities.
Persevere over yours. Be better. Let go of the negative“truths” that you’ve believed. Find a new, happy truth. Walk the hell away from people who dull your confidence. Insecurities are normal. But we NEVER have to believe them. ❤️
