Happy Fitness and a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has trained with me this year. I appreciate all of you who have passed through my small coaching business, it’s because of you that it continues - you recommend me to your friends, you come back, you roll on or you update me months after our time together to let me know it made a difference. And it’s NICE.

I only take on a limited number of clients at a time and I have learnt to look for whether someone is willing to do the work, which leaves me with a small squad of superheroes in my pocket.

Very proud of all of you, whether you’ve joined a gym or you workout at home, watching you prioritise your goals while you work and/or parent etc etc etc (#life) is so inspiring and I feel lucky to witness it. Thank you for working with me, and have a lovely month of December whatever you celebrate, may it be full of fitness, food, treats, steps, and protein 😉

“An accent in a way can be an entry into a character” - Toni Collette.

…………………………………………………………

Taking a moment to proudly shout about the “Accents for Actors” online course that my dear friend @andreahazelvoice will soon be running.

• It starts (online) on July 11th.
• For 4 weeks.
• Every Monday.
• 7.30 - 9.30pm.

Andrea is an uh-mazing Vocal and Dialect Coach.
I’ve worked with her.
She makes everything accessible, easy to connect with and a LOT of fun.

🗣 She is the Senior Voice Tutor at Mountview Drama School and a Voice Coach at “Matilda The Musical”.

🎟 Some early bird tickets for this course have just been released, so grab them while you can.

🔗 There’s a link in her bio. @andreahazelvoice

“This online course will support you in mastering an accent of your choice. Working in small groups with individual feedback and support, bring your accent work to the next level”.

……………………………………………………….

• Week 1 - 11th July
“How to breakdown your accent.
Learn about the different consonants and vowels and different mouth shapes required to find specificity in your chosen accent.”

• Week 2 - 18th July
“Seeking out detail.
This week we'll work on the pitch, tone, emphasis and musicality of your chosen accent.
You'll also start to get specific feedback to support you with your progress”.

• Week 3 - 25th July
“Applying accent work to text.
Building on our detailed technical work we'll start to apply it to a monologue with more feedback to help you improve and develop your sound”.

• Week 4 - 1st August
“Acting and Accents combined.
This week we'll explore exciting and dynamic acting choices while staying in the accent”.

Yeah that’s right I filled in the certificate. Thank you to every single person who donated to cancer research and who participated in this year’s Walk This May.

The research I’ve seen suggests that for most people exercise is safe and helpful before, during, and after cancer treatment.

Too much time spent not moving your body can cause loss of body function, muscle weakness, and reduced range of motion. Cancer patients are urged to be as physically active as possible (/ comfortable), for all the usual reasons we are encouraged to exercise, which is why I wanted to do something that most of us are fortunate enough to be able to do, for free.

So move your amazing body occasionally if you can. That doesn’t have to be in a gym, it doesn’t have to be for selfies or bikinis or for external gaze (/gays 😏) , it can be for all those incredible systems you’ve got going on in there, working hard RIGHT NOW to look after you and keep you alive for as long as possible.

Also check for lumps and drink water etc

"It was the last year of the twentieth century,
When I found myself in the mountainous region of northern India.”

Please watch and share this video and music track #Ramon which was written and produced over ten years ago by my brother Gez and sister Andrea and their band @hmsthefirst

During lockdown the brilliant and talented Paul and Jessica and family have turned it into something special.
