Happy to share that our project, The Violence of the Winds, has been shortlisted for the Architecture Hunter Awards 2026! It is especially meaningful to see the project receive its third recognition this year. From the beginning, we chose to pursue a visceral and uncompromising approach to design, and it is rewarding to see that vision continue to resonate. Please welcome our next jury member for the OPEN CHAIR design competition! Andreas Palfinger - Architectural Designer/ Creative Influencer Andreas Palfinger is interdisciplinary artist and architectural designer based in London and New York. Besides his artistic practice he is contributing to projects at ZHA in London and previously worked at MAD Architects in Beijing and ODA in New York. Andreas studied as a Fulbright Scholar at Pratt Institute in New York, as well as at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and Bauhaus University Weimar. His studies spanned architecture, graphic design, industrial design and painting and animation film. Besides participating in international exhibitions, he was honoured at the International Design Awards, the Art Directors Club of Europe Awards, the Red Dot Awards, the Dezeen Awards, and the New York International Film Awards. Happy to share, we were one of the 7 finalists for the ›Claude Parent Prize for Transgressive Architecture‹ in Paris, organised by the Claude Parent Archives. — Me & Aysin Bahar Sahin submitted several collaborative works over the last years (developed between New York, Beijing and London) and it was an honour to be selected from 130 international submissions (also being by far the youngest team). Big thanks to the jury (full list on slide 5), which included two Pritzker prize winners Shelley McNamara (Grafton Architects @graftonarchitects ) and Jean Nouvel @ateliersjeannouvel , as well as Wolf D. Prix @coophimmelblau — Attending the gala in Paris was a pleasure, especially meeting other nominees.
