During last year's Walk for Peace, Venerable monk Maha Ajarn Dam Phommasan lost a leg when he was hit by a truck during the first month. Last night, he was part of a multifaith prayer service at the Carter Center and spoke about the importance of inner peace. Afterwards, he shared blessings. #walkforpeace #cartercenter #cantweallgetalong

✨a friendly reminder that we contain multitudes and we know what we want to talk about and what feels good and right and what doesn’t.

✨we know who we are and no one can take that knowing from us.

For Your Grammy Consideration 🎶

“If you’ve ever wondered whether your best days are behind you, this song is for you.”

This moment is about so much more than one voice.

It’s about the art and craft of making music—the songwriter who puts the words and melody on the page, the producer who shapes the vision, the musicians who bring the arrangement to life, the engineers who capture and refine every sound, and the entire team working behind the scenes to make a recording possible.

This is for the artists behind the voice - Joel Lindsey, Gordon Mote, Chris Price Perez, Scott Williamson, Alan Silverman, and so many more.

Every voice has a story. Every song has a village behind it. And this song represents a new chapter—not just for Sandi, but for everyone who has poured their gifts, time, talent, and heart into the music.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have The Voice I Have Now considered. We are honored to be part of the conversation and humbled to celebrate the people who helped bring this song to life.

And perhaps the greatest reminder of all:

Our best days may not be behind us. They may be right in front of us.

Here’s to making every moment of this earthly life before eternity count. ❤️

So much stuff happening this month. I thought I had more to post! A few things that weren't so good happened, but there was a lot of good that helped me through it. I am thriving in my job, I get to be with people I love. I got to see one of my favorite musicals at The Fox with some of my favorite people! I get to see my friends every day, I work with some and I volunteer with others. Here we go OCTOBERRRRR

Someone said “Never meet your heroes”. The implication being, once you’ve met them, the mystery will be gone or they will not live up to the image of the fantasy you’ve created.

But then…

I discovered @cindymorganmusic at 19 through her debut album, Real Life, and her music has been a part of my life ever since. I was blessed to meet her briefly a few years later, after a show, and she was exactly, the kind, beautiful and caring soul I knew she would be. At 49, I would have a dream-like 4 hour co-writing session where we sat and shared parts of our souls with one another to facilitate the writing process and over the last three years, she has become a treasured friend and I have had the honor of becoming friends with her husband, her children and their significant others. The blessings have been exponential from there.

@maryjlittleton (Jenny) has been a blessing that keeps giving. Look at that smile, she brings sunshine 🌞 into every room she enters. Jenny is one of the kindest, funniest (naturally), and most compassionate humans I know. She has become a champion of my poetry and my songwriting and she has so much beautiful talent as an actress, comedienne, singer, songwriter and poet. Go to YouTube and search for Doyle and Debbie - you can thank me later.

@andrewbgreer has been another unexpected friendship that I have been so lucky to discover in the last couple of years. Andrew is another artist that speaks directly to my soul. He has a way of immediately making you feel seen and welcome into the room. He is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, documentarian, author and he has a heart for the human condition and and he challenges me to see life from new perspectives. I am so blessed to now call him a friend.

And the last of these 4 to enter my friendship space is @shondasvaughn . When I met Shonda last year, at the first Troubadour Storyteller’s Retreat, the first emotion to come to mind was “Wow!” Shonda has a way of making you feel like you have been friends for years, in an instant. She uses her talents to uplift others and she gives great hugs!

I love all 4 of these people and it was an honor to share space with them on Saturday ♥️.

Today, we’re taking you Back to Bellsburg.

Back to Bellsburg… The Songs of Rich Mullins is officially out now!

Following our 2022 release, this new collection brings together an incredible group of artists who have revisited and breathed new life into even more of Rich Mullins’ timeless songs.

Years after Rich first gave us these songs, their words still carry a remarkable weight, songs about faith and doubt, joy and brokenness, grace and redemption, and finding God in the ordinary places of life.

We’re honoured to share this project with you and incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life.

We hope you’ll listen, share it with someone you love, and perhaps find an old favourite or a new one along the way.

🎧 Listen to Back to Bellsburg now, wherever you stream music.
