That’s a wrap on NYCC 2026! Didn’t take nearly as many pics and selfies as I should’ve but it was a fun few days. I went alone for the first time in like my 10 years coming here but was lucky enough to run into some friends and even made some new ones. (and yet still somehow missed a few of you even though we were standing feet away from each other!)

This year was mostly a humbling experience that made me realize I have a lot more work to do if I want to make it in comics. Had some great convos but I especially wanna give a huge shoutout to the nicest guy in comics David Pepose (@peposed) who gave me some incredibly solid and practical advice that felt like rocket fuel for my future writing endeavors. In a place that busy where most conversations are lightning quick and can sometimes feel transactional, he graciously gave me like 20 mins of his time and a lot to focus on going forward as a comic writer.

And huge thanks to @vongormanart for giving me the original proof for his Superguy cover!!

Shoutout to @gregpaknet @andrewdrilon @steph_i_will @ethanjsacks @alexsegurajr @julioanta @dirkmanning @lanpitts @jimmygaspero @therodneybarnes @jef_uk @thefatmanwholetters @jamesfergusonjr @mistadark @judedeluca @thebraveandtheboys @badaboompodcast @dan_exclaims @fanlightzone @greymetal_art

See ya guys next year @newyorkcomiccon

#nycc was a great way to start 34! This isn't even everything! I got to meet @joshjohnsoncomedy after trying to since like 2014, it's normal I promise..... I sold some comics, I've made some plans, I drew #kidquantum again! There also maybe a video of me floating around talking about a Christian chicken revolution. Now it's time to rest waited for this delayed flight then get back to ass kicking

Pictures from Day One of NYCC. I’ve meet all the writers and artist I wanted this year. I met with Tony Fleecs had him sign his mini series of The Thing. When I learned about him on Off Panel podcast I just wanted to meet him. His career path just struck something in me. From working on My Little Pony to now writing Deathstroke the Terminator just shows hard work pays off.

The Thing #1 signed by Tony Fleecs. Such a fun read about Ben! That page where all the villains get the bounty on the radio had me smiling! Not just that but having the people of Yancy Street cheer for him, I felt I something so New York about that page.

Next I met with Cody Ziglar! His such a nice person. I’m embarrassed I didn’t have any of his comics with me. He gave me tips on story beats when I showed him my script! I’m so grateful that he did that. I was so nervous handing him the script. Just shows this community is one of helping and being inclusive. I cannot wait for his Static run, definitely gonna be on my pull list!

Still scored a signature from Cody! And you know I’m gonna have him signed a spider man and static book next time.

Saw fellow art student league member and current artist for the DC crossover DC GO! Runway to Ruin Alpha Andrew Drilon! Last year he gave me some great tips on working in comic books and this time too. Time to do some self studying on lettering! Honestly I would recommend checking this crossover and his other works on the DC Universe Infinite app and his instagram andrewdrilon where he post his progress on some of his art.

Had commission him for this card. Told him dealers choice and I wasn’t disappointed! I’m so happy with this I just don’t know where to put it. I stare at this and I just smile. Instant happiness! Definitely will be staring at this when I have a bad day.

Met with Melissa Flores who not only had copies of her script of Dead Lucky #1, she too read and gave me points on my script I wrote! Not gonna lie I felt like student getting their essay graded in front of their teacher. It was worth it, I learned I needed to work on some areas to help my artist. Discovering her from comicsunmasked podcast and now meeting her in person was a blas

Man, I never take enough pics at these things, but it’s cuz I was busy chatting with more incredible artists and writers this year. Of course, got to share my books too

Shoutout to @illushray and @sandstormcomics for some beautifully made complimentary books
