Issue 15 of ArteActa, "Beyond Human Communality: Encounters and Limits," gathers seven artistic investigations and an introductory essay exploring the coexistence of humans with more-than-human entities—real, fictional, or mythological—alongside the methodologies that make such exploration possible. Ranging from multi-planetary politics and space mining to mycelium interfaces, plant-based improvisation, firefly vision, melting glaciers, and wolf mythology, the contributions use artistic, scientific, and technological strategies to mediate cross-species dialogue and imagine life beyond human boundaries. During @caw.syd we're hosting an evening of readings and performances that reveal how storytelling can shape our understanding of, and responses to, the biodiversity and climate crises. What happens when we centre voices beyond the human? When we speculate futures for worlds we are only beginning to inhabit? When we hold both ecological grief and critical hope? This event offers a space to encounter creative works that refuse easy answers—pieces that invite us to sit with uncertainty, to listen differently, and to find new ways of living on a damaged planet. Curated by @zoesado and @andrewxburrell, hosted by the UTS Visualisation Institute. @utsviscom @utsfds @utsalumni https://luma.com/fa1s89rr

Part of the ISEA VR program, 'can't buy me love' is proudly exhibited alongside other innovative approaches to artist led VR by Megan Beckwith, Steph Andrews, Lucas Horta, Nirma Madhoo, Alex Lee.
