Some random moments of sunshine and color. Most taken with the phone, and a few with the professional camera. Tired of these rainy, gloomy weekends. Hope this weather pattern will change soon.

You can hardly call this one a ‘zine’ anymore. At a whopping 96 pages, Moth Flame III is a collaborative, community effort, thoughtfully curated by @jasonstick ❤️ Making something like his is no small feat. In this fast paced world, getting together to celebrate something you can hold in your hands and digest at your own pace feels nothing short of priceless. THANK YOU JASON. Be sure to Check out @mothflamezine to see where you may be able to find one.

Also, thanks so much @threeshipscoffee and @craigmpoling for facilitating such an awesome day!

Made a little pit stop at @thegourmetgang today. My paintings look great and just add a little something to the ambiance. Plus I really dig the super nice promo poster with one of my favorite photos @andrezza_haddaway took of me in Brazil a few years ago. Thanks y’all!

Go to the Lynnhaven location (2701 N. Mall Dr., Virginia Beach) to enjoy a delicious meal with my art!

Very excited to announce that I will now be endorsing Bettersax saxophone mouthpieces. Super thankful to Jay, Todd, Scott, Will and everyone on the team for inviting to be a part of the incredible community they are building. Pictured are the Bettersax Burnin HR 6* pieces. Stay tuned for videos of how amazing they sound. @bettersax

Busy weekend and no time or peace of mind for painting. But it was a good and productive weekend. The highlights were a sunrise portrait session for our local surfer project, and an evening shooting photos at Atlantic Park Surf. Still a bit tired and there’s a ton of photos to go through. So I’ll be sort of bouncing back and forth between editing and painting. No rest for the weary. I do have some art news to share but I’ll wait until tomorrow or another time.

Today is World Oceans Day. There is nothing like being in the ocean! Whether it's surfing, snorkeling, on a boat, paddleboarding, or simply dipping my toes in. I'm thankful for being able to live near it.

Thank you for the calm that overwhelms me just being near you. Thank you for helping me forget my worries and washing it away. Thankful for gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Thankful for new friends made in the line up and meals shared afterwards. Thank you for being the place that brings joy, peace, and wonder.

I hope all of you get a chance to experience the ocean's magic today ✨️🌊🏝

A few moments from the VB Surf Art Expo this past weekend. After almost two years without doing shows, I was happy to be back at my favorite one. I was there for the first expo, and after all these years it’s still a fav. It was a great time chatting with my fellow artists. And it was so nice to see so many of you! Some of you I haven’t seen in a while and I loved catching up. Thanks for stopping by! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t our friend and we ended up having to leave early on Monday so we didn’t have to pack up in the rain. But Jodie and the entire VB Surf Art Expo team is phenomenal and kept us all as comfy and organized as possible. They’re the best!

I am going to assess things a little more and decide if there’s other shows I’m going to apply to soon. A lot of things running through my brain after this weekend.

It’s the final day of the VB Surf Art Expo!! We’re here until 5pm on the boardwalk between 3rd and 4th streets. Come support local art! If you’ve been thinking about a Haddaway original for your home, now’s the perfect time!

The weather has been unpredictable all weekend. Saturday was misty and foggy. Sunday had morning showers but was gorgeous the rest of the day. Today may have some showers here and there but there should be periods when the sun comes out too. That said, if the show does end up closing early, I’ll do my best to let you know. Otherwise, come hang with us!

#tbt all the way back to 2012 and our honeymoon at St John in the Virgin Islands. Feeling a bit nostalgic and longing for a change of scenery. Kind of feels like a lifetime ago now. Unfortunately we haven’t been back to St John since. From what I see and hear a lot has changed on the island. There was the hurricane that devastated much of the Caribbean a few years ago, which began the rebuilding process and new businesses with it. The beach in the first slide no longer has those iconic palm trees because they were blown away. After that the costs of many things went up. And now we can no longer afford to stay where we did all those years ago. I still look at St John boards from time to time and also see stories from locals about the influx of tourists and their bad behavior. No matter, I’d still love to go back. St John is an incredibly beautiful place. And I’m sure we could still find our own stretch of secluded sand to dream the day away on.
