🔥WALKING THE DEISEAL: An Irish Blessing🔥

Led by one of Parramatta's most prolific poets, Peter Cartwright, walking the Diesel was a gentle Saturday morning gathering drawing on an ancient Irish tradition of walking deiseal around a hearth, house or significant place

In Irish tradition, deiseal (pronounced “deh-SHUL”) means to move sunwise, following the direction of the sun. Walking deiseal around a house or gathering place has long been associated with blessing, goodwill and good fortune.

On the final Saturday of Parramatta’s Lit! 2026, friends of the festival, writers and community members to gathered to walk together around Old Government House, offering a simple gesture of goodwill and good fortune to the place, to the festival and to all those who have gathered in Parramatta to share stories."

With the first rain, the suffering begins anew… The tents crumble, water leaks in, and the children shiver from the cold.

A harsh winter is upon us, and no warmth awaits.

Help us deliver warmth… before the cold turns into a new agony. #help #gazaunderattack #explorer #gaza #reel #fypage #fypシ❤️💞❤️

He left the darkness of prison... only to find that the light he was waiting for had been extinguished with the departure of his children and family. The wound still bleeds.

We continue to volunteer in light of the difficult conditions that our people in Gaza are going through, out of our belief that serving people is a national and humanitarian duty, and that hope will not be extinguished as long as there are those among us who strive for good and extend a helping hand to all those in need, so that we may always be a support for our people and a voice for humanity despite all the challenges.
