POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For years, I’ve stood on the sidelines watching Andy chase finish lines.

Through the early mornings, endless training miles, race-day nerves, and unforgettable finishes, I’ve had a front-row seat to his passion.

What I didn’t realize was that somewhere along the way, he was inspiring me to find my own.

And today, everything comes full circle.

For the first time, I’m not just showing up to cheer him on. I’m showing up to chase a finish line of my own.

My first (official) half marathon. His passion that helped spark mine. And a starting line we get to share. ❤️

From the sidelines to the starting line.

Today, it’s my turn. 🏃🏼‍♀️🔥 #fromspectatortorunner #runnercouple #raceday #halfmarathon #runningjourney

Iornman Rockford complete!

My goal this 70.3 was to go sub 5 hours but I was unsure how this race was going to pan out as the last two weeks have been filled tons of traveling and I wasnt able to stick to my training and tapper.

I knew this course was going to play to my advantage since I have a strong bike and a decent swim. So as long as my run didnt fall apart I knew that it was going to be possible.

Swim was done in 1.2 mile swim done in 24 mins, 56 mile bike done in 2:35, and my 13.1 mile run was 1:40. Total time was 4:46:44. This was a PR by 26 mins and I couldn't be happier about it. I was accompanied by some great people in the @triathlonracersofiowa.

Looking forward to Chatty now!

A year and a half ago, I set a goal to run a sub-4-hour marathon for my first ever race. That first attempt didn’t go as planned — I hit the wall at mile 16 and finished around 5:20. I came back for another try and got much closer, finishing in 4:16.

This year, I finally achieved that original goal, crossing the line at 3:57:22! While I had hoped to hit 3:45, I’m proud of the progress and grateful to see all the work pay off.

At first, I didn’t think I’d run another marathon. But after reflecting on this race — and feeling unaccomplished of not reaching that 3:45 goal — I know I’m not done yet.

Huge thanks to everyone at @TriathlonRacersOfIowa for the support, motivation, and miles we’ve shared over the years. Excited to see what’s next! 🏃‍♂️🔥
