"Are you okay? Can I just sit here and listen?” 💙

There’s a lot of talk out there. But not enough people just sitting with someone. No judgment. No agenda. Just presence. 🤔

You don’t have to fix it. Just be there. That’s half the job done. 🔥

Stop hiding. Start showing up. 🔥

We are subject matter experts in our field. But for so long, we’ve been hiding behind the scenes. 🤔

Jab, jab, right hook. Provide value. Get out there.
That’s the play. 💙

It’s not easy. But I don’t want an easy life. I want impact. And impact requires vulnerability. 💪

When the market feels uncertain, consistency becomes your greatest competitive advantage.

There’s a lot of noise around the real estate market right now. Investor confidence is flat, growth feels harder to come by, and many businesses are questioning what they should be doing differently.

My view? Don’t lose sight of what you’re already doing well.

In markets like these, retention should be our greatest priority. Protect the relationships you’ve built, deliver on your promises and remain consistent in the things that create genuine value for your clients.

This isn’t the time to reinvent everything. It’s the time to get exceptionally good at the fundamentals.

But there is one shift I believe our industry needs to make.

We need to move away from being task executors and step confidently into being trusted advisors.

Our landlords don’t just need someone to collect rent, coordinate repairs and manage tenancies. They need someone who understands their investment, anticipates challenges, provides meaningful insights and helps them make informed decisions.

That’s where our real value sits.

Retention isn’t simply about keeping managements. It’s about building relationships so strong that clients wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

Markets will change. Confidence will return. Growth opportunities will follow.

The businesses that come out stronger will be those that stayed consistent, protected their relationships and demonstrated their value when it mattered most.

Let’s focus on what we can control. The rest will follow.

The elephant and the peg. 🐘🔥
“It could easily pull it out of the ground and walk away — but it doesn’t.”

Conditioned as a baby to believe it can’t move. So it spends its whole life convinced. 🤔

Sound familiar? 💙

If you’re telling yourself you can’t embrace change, that’ll be true. If you’re telling yourself this is the greatest opportunity of your career - that’ll be true too. 🔥

🏠 Victoria Changed Its Auction Rules. But There’s a Loophole?

Victoria's new auction rules are designed to give buyers greater transparency by requiring the reserve price to be advertised at least seven days before auction.

But according to auctioneer @andyreidcoaching, there's an important detail buyers need to understand.

💰 As soon as the auction starts - the seller can increase the reserve.

In our latest episode of the Reventon Property Podcast hosted by Reventon CEO Chris Christofi and GM of Sales Lachie Morrey, Andy breaks down how the new rules interact with the auction process — and why an offer above the advertised reserve doesn't automatically mean the vendor has to sell before auction.

If the vendor is committed to proceeding with the auction, an offer may be rejected on process rather than price. And once the auction begins, Andy highlights a potential inconsistency in how the reserve can be handled.

The intention behind the changes is straightforward: help buyers understand whether a property is within their budget and avoid wasting time on properties they have little chance of securing.

But the real-world application raises questions about how the rules work in practice.

For property buyers, the lesson is simple: don't assume the advertised reserve is a guaranteed purchase price — or that offering above it means you can bypass the auction.

Understanding the process matters just as much as understanding the price.

🎙️ Hear Andy Reid explain the reserve price rules, the potential loophole and what buyers should know on the latest episode of the Reventon Property Podcast.

💬 Do you think these changes provide buyers with greater transparency, or do they leave too much room for uncertainty?

Einstein asked the most powerful question you could ask yourself. 🔥
“Do I live in a friendly or a hostile universe?”

Do things happen to you? Or do they happen for you? 🤔

Step on a black square and ask, is this a setback? Or an opportunity to grow? 💙

That one shift changes everything.

🏠 COVID Changed the Market. Why Are People Still Trying to Predict It?

“COVID was the great reset. It really was.”

On the latest episode of the Reventon Property Podcast, @andyreidcoaching shared his perspective on the current property market — and why he finds the psychology behind it just as fascinating as the numbers.

The market is a complex mix of variables. Interest rates, inflation, supply, demand, migration and buyer confidence all play a role.

But here's the problem…

People are still making confident predictions about what happens next, as though anyone has a crystal ball.

COVID fundamentally changed the landscape. The world faced an event on a scale that modern property data couldn't fully prepare us for, yet experts continued making predictions — many of which didn't unfold as expected.

And it raises an important question: how much confidence should we really place in anyone claiming to know exactly where the market is heading?

At Reventon, we believe successful property investing isn't about pretending to predict the future.

It's about understanding the data, recognising market cycles, assessing the fundamentals and making informed decisions based on what we know — while preparing for what we don't.

📊 You can't control the market. But you can control how you respond to it.

Don't get caught up in the noise. Focus on the fundamentals, do your research and build a strategy that can stand up to changing conditions.

🎙️ Catch the full conversation with Andy Reid on the Reventon Property Podcast.

💬 Do you think anyone can accurately predict where the property market is heading — or is too much of it outside our control?
