@cardiffhalf , what a day….

From the calm of Cardiff Castle to the absolute CHAOS of the start line. 21.1km on mildly hungover legs because apparently a wedding the day before is excellent race prep x

Hit the streets of Cardiff with @tammylee.williams for the first 15k, spending a solid chunk of the first 5k contemplating a tactical chunder. Thankfully we prevailed 😮‍💨 By 14k I’d finally come back to life and decided to put my foot down

And THE CROWDS 🥹 Cardiff, you really do know how to show up. The sun was out, the streets were PACKED and the support was unreal from start to finish

Not quite the race I’d anticipated and one that’s taken me a little longer to reflect on but there was so much to love about this weekend

Feeling very lucky to have been part of the @run4wales ambassador team this year. More on that little experience another day 🖤❤️

Cardiff, you’re a special one. Same again next year? Preferably with fewer wines the night before x

“I began playing hockey when I was 7 years old. I spent a year figure skating beforehand until my dad (who plays hockey) asked if I wanted to play hockey like him! I joined and loved it. I was very shy growing up and hockey has always been such an amazing outlet for anything: stress, anxiety, jitters etc. I loved feeling fast and strong, especially since not many girls I knew played hockey in school. I liked the idea that women didn’t have to be delicate! I made amazing friends on my teams back home in Canada. I then joined my dad’s men’s team and play with them when I go home to Canada. Just this January of 2026 I tried out for the Pentyrch Aliens men’s team in Cardiff and made the team! They’re an amazing group of lads who have shown me that hockey actually exists in the UK (as I hadn’t played for the 2 first years I lived in the UK) I’m so grateful to the hockey community!”

welcome to the DC, @aneesaruns100

My running journey so far 🤍

Running has added so much to my life, and I am incredibly grateful for everything this sport has given me over the past nearly six years ❤️

It’s become more than just exercise - it’s where my mind finds peace, clarity, and happiness 🫶🏻
