What’s not to love about them?!
Except when it blows up and you’ve got a wind against tide situation and a long wet bash home 🥴
I guess in my ideal world I would have both a boat and ski 🤗

So proud of how competent my boys are getting with their fishing, ski driving and bar navigating skills.

It’s a bitter sweet feeling as a mumma 🥹

Part of me wants them to stay young so they need me to be involved in their adventures but the other part of me knows it’s my journey to share what Iv learnt so they can create their own epic adventures (hopefully without too many mishaps).

Plus they’re getting too big to be going 3 up for fishing missions on a ski!

Thank goodness for @angeaotearoa joining us with her ski so I could jump on and we could spread our elbows.

Jokes aside, I love doing missions with any gender!

But it’s such a kick ass feeling knowing as Wahine, together we have the skillset to pull off our own epic adventures ah @angeaotearoa !

I highly recommend finding yourself an Angie to mission with…

She’s got fun toys, is a weapon fisher woman and spearo, can cook up a storm at the drop of a hat, is always up for a strike mission and shares the same birthday as me!

And not to say we havnt had our own ‘woman overboard’ accidents but that’s a story for another day. All I’ll say is…skis are sketchy when nature calls 🤪

We were IN the bath when we got a call, out of the blue, from a journalist for Air New Zealand’s Kia Ora magazine.

Did a 5 min interview and never told him 😆

So grateful for our little plug in here. Such an incredible magazine, absolutely stacked full of amazing NZ stories.

Thanks @airnz 🙌🏼

If you’re not flying this June you can check it out online and via the Kia Ora app ✅

Our first Star Bath installation in Raglan 🌟

This beauty found its home with an amazing local family, who also welcome Airbnb guests to stay.

And yes, it looks gorgeous. But the best part is how much it’s being used.

Daily, by Dad and the kids, who choose it over the indoor bath every time.

Before this, they had an old clawfoot bath that was too small, lost heat quickly, and needed constant topping up.

They wanted something a bit bigger and deeper, warmer, more water efficient and easy to keep clean.

Now it’s part of everyday family life, handling heavy use, kids, guests, and weather exactly as intended.

A proper outdoor bath, built for real outdoor bathing.

Not just for special occasions.

For the rituals that become part of family life.

Nothing like a scroll through your photos of the last year to give you a glimpse into where your energy is flowing.

A 12 month montage of some of my favourite moments tells me I really spend more time in or on the water than I do in my garden these days.

Which probably makes for rather random ‘content’ coming from me 🫣

But I think you guys are used to the hot mess that is this space so I’ll just keep rolling with it 🤪

I’m so full of gratitude for these moments. They remind me of how precious our time is on this planet!!

How our kids grow so fast and yet the older they get the funnier it is…The hubby and I love sharing these moments on the ocean and passing on everything we’ve learnt over the years.

Then there’s the memories and bonds made with my @wakaamanz and @coastguardnz whanau. Nothing like getting thrown into some really challenging scenarios with epic humans to make you level up 💪

And lastly all of the good times banked with friends (old and new)….My incredible ocean loving Wahine who push me out of my comfort zones in such an inclusive supportive environment!

Oh and can’t forget my Ollie girl 🐕 Who knew life could be so full of surprises from one day to the next with you in our lives 😆 Probs should look into getting pet insurance or just locking you in a padded room 24/7 but hey at least we’re keeping the local Vet biz thriving 💵

I’ll be calling in even more of this vitamin Sea come 2026…

Along with some gardening content thrown in (if I can remember to keep my phone charged and hands clean enough to operate it).

Big loves insta friends! Thanks for making this space rad x

Well that last week was the best shake down for my salty-summer-ocean-adventure-loving soul 🧜🏻‍♀️🐟🤿🎣🐬🦈
The ocean played ball big time with low swell and winds on both Coasts and I made the most of it big time.
Self employed life means I can be sneaky and juggle a few things around, so I can be ready to go at the drop of a hat when the call goes out.
I don’t think Iv ever caught, prepared and eaten fish in such a variety of ways ever.
Super grateful to be able to share these experiences with my kids and new friends with epic skills, toys and knowledge on favourite dive sites and fishing spots.
Nothing feels more empowering than having the knowledge to source your own kai straight from the Moana.
And apologies if the sight of dead fish gives you the ick, but for me it’s all a part of the grand cycle of life.
We are just another part of the food chain and if you choose to eat fish then this to me is the most ethical way to do so 🤙
Hand harvested, zero by-catch, all parts of the fish consumed with friends/family and any remains turned back into the garden 💚
