Soooooo… we really did that. 🫧

To everyone who danced, yapped, laughed, played, connected, brought a friend, made a friend, pulled up alone or said they were staying for one last song but somehow stayed for five more…

THANK YOU!

To the @kikitosaurio & @angelabaskets: thank you for the soundtrack. The vibes were immaculate💅🏽

To @ninedesignandhomes for hosting us, @tattoosbygiovanni for the sick ink, @stevieparakeet for the 🔥 drinks, our donor ticket purchasers & all of our friends who just jumped in & kept things going while we were busy: thank you for helping us turn an idea into a real place for our people to gather.

And to everyone who came through:

YOU are Day/Care.

Until we’re twirling again. 🫧

It was quite the summer and it's crazy that it's been almost 3 months since we last saw all of your beautiful faces. We wanted to thank every single sponsor, donor, vendor, speaker, performer and attendee for your support in Village Pride 2026. We are proud to announce that with your support, we have donated $3,300 to the @ruthelliscenter after this year's event. This, in addition to the previous years $3,300 brings our donation total to $6,600 over the last two years of collaborating with the Ruth Ellis Center. We wouldn't be able to do this without each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you all again next year! Until then, don't forget that it takes a Village!

September’s first TV Lounge House banger is now locked in with
Chicago’s groove master Jamie 3:26 back in the building, bringing the soulful, unpredictable, dancefloor magic that makes him a perennial crowd favorite.

Detroit’s own Dej.y is ready to take you on a deep, hypnotic journey with Eddie Logix and Angela Baskets bringing the hometown heat from two very different—and equally irresistible—directions.

Four selectors. One dance floor. Zero interest in letting summer end. Jamie 3:26 • Dej.y • Eddie Logix • Angela Baskets

TV Lounge • Get your crew together. Share this post. Meet us on the dance floor. TV • #letyourselfgo • $10 Tickets www.tvloungedetroit.com

TWO DETROIT WOMEN. TWO DISTINCT SOUNDS. ONE VERY SPECIAL NIGHT.

Before Jamie 3:26 takes over the dance floor, two of Detroit’s emerging women DJs are setting the tone—and we couldn’t be more excited to have them.

DEJ.Y has been on a cosmic trajectory of her own. A devoted student of sound and a protégé of the late, legendary Amp Fiddler, she moves effortlessly between deep bass, hard-hitting drums, hypnotic melodies and those unexpected moments that make a DJ set feel like an experience rather than a playlist. Through The Hypnotic and her BLAKINETIC gatherings, Dej.y is carving out her own space while carrying Detroit’s tradition of adventurous, deeply soulful music forward.

ANGELABASKETS (Jessica Kindle) brings another kind of Detroit alchemy. DJ, multidisciplinary artist and chef, her musical DNA runs through ’90s NYC hip-hop, Detroit electronic music, Chicago house, disco and funk. There’s a sense of history in what she plays, but never nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake. She knows how to take those ingredients and make something fresh—and yes, she can feed you before or after she feeds the dance floor.

What matters is that Detroit’s future is already here. Artists like Dej.y and angelabaskets are building their own language, creating community, taking risks and making room for more voices on the dance floor.

That’s exactly what Charivari Detroit has always been about.
So for our CHARIVARI DETROIT THANK YOU PARTY, it feels right to put the next generation alongside one of the city’s house music heavyweights. TV Lounge is honored to host them both.
