At this year’s Welsh Music Prize, we caught up with some of the most exciting artists shaping the Welsh music scene.

From the importance of consistency in songwriting to talking about what inspires their craft, here’s what they had to say.🌟🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Yn y Wobr Gerddoraeth Gymreig eleni, fe wnaethom ni siarad gyda cymysgedd eang o artistiaid Cymreig a darganfod beth yw’r un darn o gyngor sydd wedi aros gyda nhw trwy gydol eu gyrfaoedd.

Yn ymestyn o bwysigrwydd cysondeb wrth gyfansoddi i son am beth sy’n eu cymell nhw, dyma beth oedd ganddynt i’w ddweud. 🌟🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We’re super excited to host Ani Glass and Osgled on the 21st of November! It’s going to be a wonderful wintery evening full of glittery welsh magic.

Rydym ni’n hynod gyffrous i groesawu Ani Glass ac Osgled ar y 21ain o Dachwedd! Bydd yn noson aeafol wych, yn llawn hud a lledrith Cymreig disglair!

ANI GLASS -

Ani Glass is the persona of Cardiff-based electronic pop musician, producer and artist, Ani Saunders. Glass sings in her native languages Welsh and Cornish and in March 2020 released her self-produced debut album Mirores which was awarded Welsh Language Album of the Year at the National Eisteddfod and shortlisted for the Welsh Music Prize. In September 2020, Ani released the Ynys Araul remix EP which included a version by synth pop giants Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Her much-anticipated follow-up album Phantasmagoria was released in September 2025 to glowing reviews and her new D/deaf-friendly performances gaining praise for their accessibility. Glass is also known for her work with The Pipettes, joining to record the Martin Rushent-produced Earth Vs. The Pipettes album

OSGLED -

Drawing from a diverse palette of experimental sounds, Osgled (Welsh for amplitude) blends ethereal, atmospheric textures with haunting, melancholic synths, layered beneath dreamy and expressive vocals. The result is an immersive soundscape that feels both otherworldly and intensely emotional, inviting listeners into a space of introspection, atmosphere, and feeling.

Edrych ymlaen i hon!! 🌟
