This week we're headed to Sawtelle and today's featured small, independent restaurant is @nonglacafe. If you're craving Vietnamese food and find yourself on the Westside, be sure to get Nong La's beef pho. They also have the Chef's Special with beef short rib and tendon for the serious beef lover. #supportrestaurants #nonglacafe #sawtelle #dineLA | RG 📸: @anikachu

If you haven’t heard, Gaijin will serve their final omakase on the 18th, so @anikachu and I went tonight for one last Premiere Omakase by @chefgaijin. While the variety of fish that Chef Mark sources are familiar to most high end sushi restaurants (fish like Akamutsu, Kawahagi, and Shima Aji), the sauces and garnishes he applies to them are mostly non-traditional but thoroughly delicious. Purists may shy away from this style, but for those who are open to the experience, their tastebuds will be richly rewarded here. Go before the 18th if you can!

At Hall (the teeny bar that fronts Odo) they’re doing a great little under the radar pop-up soba menu on Mondays. While soba is theoretically the main draw, as you can see from these pics there are many other things to be enjoyed here. It’s a tiny space with excellent food. Don’t tell too many people about this semi-secret gem, ok? 🤫
