🍁Autumn lover tag🍁
Thank you @libros.y.lattes for the tag! I live in a tropical country so autumn isn’t a thing here which really saddens me — that’s why I love travelling abroad during these months, but I’m not doing that this year unfortunately🥲 (this photo was from my trip to London back in 2024 lmao)

Sweater weather: favourite fall TV show
🗝️Honestly all of Mike Flanagan’s TV shows — they’re adapted from gothic/horror books so the spooky autumnal vibes are immaculate — but I have a particular affinity for The Fall of the House of Usher (and not just because Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favourite writers lmao)

Pumpkin spice: favourite fall drink
🗝️I drink this all year round but I think chai lattes are especially fabulous in autumn

Fall harvest: top books on your fall tbr
🗝️Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab
🗝️Bunny by Mona Awad
🗝️Katabasis by R.F. Kuang
🗝️Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Apple pie a cosy read
🗝️The Night Circus! It’s such a delightfully dreamy read — Erin Morgenstern is truly the master of magical and atmospheric vibes

Autumn leaves: top fall book recs
🗝️The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
🗝️The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
🗝️Don’t Let the Forest In by C.G. Drews
🗝️Crooked House by Agatha Christie

Fall faves: favourite fall fashion staples
🗝️Trench coat
🗝️Turtleneck
🗝️Sweater vest
🗝️Doc Martens

⭐5 star book tag

i was excited to this trend and here are my favourites and books i think will join that list in the near future ☺️🤍🫶🏻

these are all the books that I quite enjoyed, and gave them a rating from 4-5 which says a lot because it's very difficult for me to find a book and actually finish reading them if i am not genuinely curious or vibing with the book halfway through.

and I REALLY loved reading all of them, so i hope you all have a fun time reading these books 💗

Female authors on my tbr ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗

While jotting down the authors I haven’t read yet (and desperately want to), I realized my TBR has basically become a "Girls Only" club... and I’m here for it 😏💅🏼

Each slide is a woman whose work I'm either excited about, slightly intimidated by, or saving for the right moment. some because I know they'll wreck me (looking at you Zoulfa... 🫡🤧)

💭 Which of these female authors should I move to the top of the pile first? Help me pick my next one!👇🏼

The diverse "Must-Read" list:

• R.F. Kuang
• Elif Shafak
• Sabaa Tahir
• Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai
• Ashley Poston
• Suzanne Collins
• Jenny Han
• Yaa Gyasi
• Zoulfa Katouh
• Jennifer Lynn Barnes
• June Hur
• Clare Osongco

Can’t wait to dive into these voices, discover new worlds, and maybe cry, laugh & obsess along the way 🫶🏼

due to tag limit, here is your special place; @booknerd.magic
@aggereadsalot
@fandomsandfiction_ @joongarten @yemberzalf @matina.reads @warholivres @khadeejahreads ✨️ pls forgive me🥺

2025 reading wrapped up 🕯️ (reading slump edition... 🤗) + 2026 hopeful tbr!

honestly, i think 2025 has been one of my toughest years so far. i went through a LOT — like, a lot lot — of emotions. on top of that, i was busy entering uni, actually getting into said uni, joining clubs, and trying to keep up with social life with friends and family. so yeah, sitting down peacefully with a book was… kinda rare.

even when i did have time to read, my mind was often somewhere else. i don’t think the books were bad at all, it was more like my brain was just too crowded. i guess that’s what put me in a reading slump. 2025 me was just mentally swamped 😭

that being said, my 2025 reads were still really solid. almost all of them landed at 4 or 5 stars, which is kinda crazy. so maybe this year was less about quantity and more about quality lol ;) also the 2 books that i didn't rate?... erm haven't finished them 😭 (bear with me pls)

overall, such a draining year, filled with chaos and reading slumps. but somehow, in between all that, i still managed to read some great books. i’m really looking forward to what 2026 has in store for me, i guess hopefully more calm days and reading time!

p.s. normal people review coming soon ;)

qotd : what's ur fav read in 2025? 🫶🏻
