✍️ My latest for the SCMP is one of the most important pieces I’ve written. Anita Miles pioneered women’s cricket in Hong Kong 🇭🇰. Now, her daughter Natasha helps run the Anita Miles Foundation, which provides scholarships for local women to play in the UK

Thank you to the Miles family, Betty and Chan Sau Ha for their time. And to CHK who’ve been doing great work in growing and promoting women’s cricket 🙏

Saturday night was a blur, but an amazing blur (so shocked see photo 1 haha)!!! I arrived at @thehongkongcricketclub 7 and a bit years ago and I fell it love with it from day 1. The club is full of tradition and legacies and it’s our job to keep these thriving and developing. The people I have met here are my extended family and are the reason that this is the best club in Asia!

I was awarded this years Hong Kong Cricket Club Clubman (person) of the Year - the John Davidson Shield and what a shield it is!!! I was in absolute shock and seeing the names that I have now joined is incredible. Anita Miles won this award in 07/08 as the first female recipient and for me to be the next, 15 years on is truly amazing. Her legacy is something I am both honored and proud to continue for HKCC. Thank you to Rodney Miles for giving me the opportunity to come to this great club and thank you David Varley, Kieran Hale and the committee for giving me this vote of confidence! Thank you also to @katygibbons who deals with my schedule of doing too many things all at once!

My teammates and fellow HKCC family are the reason why I give up my time and the hard work starts now 💪🏼🏏❤️
