What does yoga look like to you? 🪷

Perhaps it starts with a breath. Some movement. Softening. Feeling. Listening.

Then it becomes something greater. A calling to share with the world. A sacred path. 👣🌀

If you’ve already completed your 200HR YTT certification and are looking to go deeper, our 300HR YTT is waiting for you. It’s a invitation to discover timeless wisdom, expand your teachings and build on the foundation, the practice, you already have.

Our next 300HR YTT is this November and there’s only a few spots left! Sign up today at the link in bio.

⭐️ 5 star shout outs of the week ⭐️

in honor of studio one’s 5th anniversary, we’re celebrating the people who make studio one five stars: you.

every week this month, our instructors will be giving a
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️shout out to one of their favorite classes of the week.

because five years of studio one wouldn’t be possible without the people who keep showing up, bringing the energy, and making this community what it is.

we couldn’t be us without all of you. 💙

up this week: andrew, kendall b., ankati + maddie!

each of them thought long and hard about which class deserved their 5-star shout out this week... and the reviews are in.

swipe to see who earned ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Our team gathered for some time to connect, refresh, and learn together. 🤍

One of the topics we explored was hands-on assists! Some of us incorporate them into classes, while others don’t. Each teacher has their own unique style and we love that.

One thing’s for sure though: we’ll always ask for consent first. 🙏🏻

An assist isn’t a “fix”, but rather a gentle invitation - an opportunity to bring awareness, explore a little deeper, or simply feel supported in a pose.

We’re so grateful for this crew and the time to come together, share ideas, and keep learning from one another. 🌿

What would it feel like to need a little less?

When we practice aparigraha, we create space. Space to breathe. Space to be present. Space to appreciate what is already here.

This is the beauty of yoga philosophy: the teachings don’t end when we step off the mat. They offer us a different way of moving through the world.

Come explore the wisdom of yoga with us at Casa Kula (@casa_kula) for one of our upcoming 300HR Yoga Teacher Trainings on Lake Atitlán in Guatemala🙏

What happens when we give ourselves permission to put something down?

At our client’s retreat last weekend,@ankatiday guided us through a session centered on movement, breath, and release creating space to soften, listen, and gently let go of what no longer needed to be carried.

Not everything we hold is meant to come with us into the next season.

Sometimes restoration begins in that quiet recognition.
A thought.
An expectation.
A responsibility.
A version of ourselves we have outgrown.
And then, gently, we release.
Not because it didn’t matter.
Not because it wasn’t once needed.

But because making space can be part of how we return to ourselves.

There was something deeply grounding about witnessing this room move through that process together allowing the body to soften, the breath to deepen, and the moment to become enough.

So grateful to Ankati for guiding this session with such presence and intention, and for creating a space where release did not have to be forced only welcomed.

🕯️ Satsang literally means “gathering in truth”. It’s coming together in community to seek, share, and sit in what’s real.

In the yogic tradition, it’s not just a class or a lecture. It’s the collective energy that forms when people show up with open hearts 💛, ready to learn from each other as much as from any teacher.

There’s a reason ancient yogis didn’t practice in isolation. Growth accelerates in community 🌱. The questions someone else asks become the ones you didn’t know you had 💭. A yoga community isn’t a backdrop to your practice… it’s part of the practice itself 🪷.

This is exactly what we build during our 200HR & 300HR YTTs in Guatemala 🌋: 22 days on the shores of Lake Atitlán 🌊, living, learning, and practicing alongside a small circle of future teachers.

You’ll leave with your certification, yes. But you’ll also leave with a satsang that doesn’t end when the training does 💫🕉️.
