💨 INTRODUCING TEAM FAST, WET AND WINDY 💨

First member up to the podium for this @noosatriathlon relay team: it’s team leader Annie Louey 🎉

Comedian, Celebrant and @thekidsfoundation Ambassador undertaking the cycling leg of the Tri.

Annie is a burns survivor who has been an Ambassador and volunteer for the KIDS Foundation for 10 years.

At 16 years old, a campfire accident left her with burns to her face and neck. Despite these challenging circumstances, she used her sense of humour to build a career as a professional comedian.

Annie started road cycling in 2019 as part of a KIDS Foundation fundraiser, where she rode with a group for 500km, from Byron Bay to Noosa.

She has come a long way since running over a teacher’s foot in bike ed in Grade 5, which resulted in her being embarrassingly segregated from the group.

Her skills did not improve much by Year 7, where she proceeded to crash into a fence during high school bike ed.

“Cycling has taught me so many life lessons. I was not naturally good at it to begin with but I persisted over many years in order to master the skill.

Now I only crash into fences occasionally. Hopefully there will be no property damage in Noosa.”

Support Team FWW by heading to our donation link in our bios!

Every dollar counts and goes towards KIDS Foundation to support programs burns and trauma survivors, people with rare genetic conditions and their families.

Comedy Sanctuary - Fundraising Edition! I’m putting on a very special showcase on Fri 16 October 🌊☀️

All proceeds will be going towards the @thekidsfoundation and our relay team’s goal to raise $3000 as part of the @noosatriathlon.

Longtime friends and followers will know my connection to KIDS as a teenage burns survivor. I’ve been an ambassador for the charity since attending my first camp in 2016 and it’s been a few years now since I’ve fundraised for them, so it’s time to get back into it!

I’m very excited to have some of my funny friends on the line-up and as per usual there will be raffles, games and an interview with aspiring Paralympian (and fellow KIDS Ambassador @abigailvidler!)

Introducing the ultimate @noosatriathlon trio 🏊🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Anna, Annie and Monica!

We’ve signed up as a relay team to participate in the Noosa Tri on 1 November, raising funds for @thekidsfoundation.

All funds raised will go towards programs helping children and families affected by burns, trauma and rare genetic conditions.

Our goal is to raise $3000 and have some fun along the way. Link in bio to donate.

In case you’re wondering - we couldn’t decide on a team name but Monica did suggest “Fast, Wet and Windy” to represent our respective sports.

Annie replied saying that sounds like the description of a bad fart. However, we came to an agreement to abbreviate it to “FWW” instead.

So here we are. Meet the members of the team FWW 💨💨💨💩

AV XCR Rd 8: Ballarat Half

Round eight of AV XCR 2026 was a half marathon around Lake Wendouree, in a change of distance for the traditional Ballarat road race! Wet and windy is an understatement, but the blue sash didn't let up 💙

Our premier men had an incredible day, coming in a narrow second to Sandringham! Led by Nathan Tse who came 10th in 1:07:33 and led the race for most of the morning. Division 2 team came 6th, 3 came 5th, and 4 came 4th! 🥈

Our premier women came in 5th overall, this time led by Sarah Knox who came 22nd in 1:24:54, closely followed by Emma Wyatt-Haines in 1:26:25. Our division 3 team came 7th, refusing to relinquish the lead they have in the race for promotion!

There's a four week break now as attention turns to the National Cross Championships also in Ballarat, but after that we're at home with a 15k road race at Burnley! #gothebluesash
