I’ve been in a summer/world is falling apart hidey hole. Plus it’s felt unimportant to post anything recently with so much awfulness in the world but I count my blessings everyday that I have such a loving lil family and I am surrounded by some of the best people out there in what can be one of the best places to be. All reminding me it’s not all bad. ❤️ we have each other.

Stepping into the weekend like…

Track two from our upcoming album is an original from Tomas Majcherski - Cumbia Tio T - dripping in Stepping Razor vibes.

Starts off old school with flutes and clarinets and low trombone - goes thru some trombone solos, some burning tenor sax riffs, a Nahum Zdybel solo, and goes out with a 💥
That GROOVE!

Streaming everywhere and the vinyl is up for presale!

Shout out to Matt Bell, Anna Moss, Paul Cebar, Greg Ruby, Cuba Chris, Anna Scott, James McClaskey, & Pete Olynciw for the Rockers vibes.

New Orleans 26!

See you Sunday nite at Snug Harbor!

(Also an set opening for Daphne Parker Powell at her album release - hit me for deets)

Bojangles. But make it Burlesque. I think I may have nailed what I want (need) out of a Mardi Gras day.

Thank you to @carolynrae.boyd for unexpectedly helping me with the outfit.

Swing Dancer Anna. Loved her very authentic retro style and the fact she cycles with a helmet 🙌🏼. 🎶all on a Mardi Gras day🎶

My shortest Mardi Gras to date…woke up with a migraine which along with the pounding headache made me terribly nauseous so needless to say I felt like CRAP. Booo☹️

I refused to skip the day entirely, so I pushed through and got dressed…we got an early start and I got a good two hours in before the migraine won and I had to retreat to my house and close my eyes in a dark room. But the morning was beautiful and I saw amazing friends and creativity abounded! So I’m happy!

I took a small nap and woke up feeling slightly better, so Charlie, Howdy, and I sat on our front stoop and watched the colorful Mardi Gras revelers go by. My wig and headpiece weren’t helping my headache, so I donned a vintage swim cap and called it an afternoon😅

Howdy was a complete star on the stoop and everyone wanted to pet him and complimented his beautiful tulle costume! Good boy!

Not the day I expected, but magical none the less. The wind was wild! We’re now home waiting for the storm to roll through…Hope y’all had a great one!
💚💛💜

So New Orleans was a dream come true.....
Girl's trip with #sistercousinbestie @planetjquk to celebrate her birthday in one of the destinations I always wanted to visit. ♥️
Great time hanging out with @annadelchev who knows all the best spots. Such a cool chick ♥️
What a vibrant, exciting, special place!! I'm still amazed at how the city lived up to my expectations and more. Did so much but left vowing to revisit.
