Bonfire Market 2026.
7 —8 November 2026.
12pm — 8pm.

A little earlier than usual, our year-end market returns with a new name and a focus on ceramics. Four ceramic practices have been invited to create limited, numbered incense holders, each interpreting the brief in their own way. They will be joined by a selection of their other works, alongside plants from Dry Spell Garden, bakes by Chu & Co, and coffee by Flip Coffee Roasters.

We have heard from those who could not make our usual late November date, so this year, we are trying something different. Shop early, take your time, and perhaps make the festive season a little less frantic.

Vendors:
@annadutoit__
@fieldpottery
@nom.pottery
@tarn_obj
@dryspell.garden
@chuand.co
@flipcoffeeroasters

One of two covers for @nuyousingapore’s 50th Anniversary, featuring Shi-An in @chanelofficial. It was especially lovely knowing that the other cover features her mother, Kheng Hua. Much love to the @nuyousingapore team who made this possible x

Last chance to catch “Prior Conditions” by Anna Du Toit (@annadutoit__ )!!! More views of this lush, larger-than-life installation before we close out on 20 September..

“Prior Conditions” is installed within Excelsior Shopping Centre, built upon cleared forest, a mall whose commercial logic is quietly fading. It continues an ongoing inquiry by the artist into Singapore as a site of layered absences, where the present is haunted by what has been replaced, renamed, and reframed.

The Western picture frame is a technology of authority. To frame something is to declare it legible, to claim the power to define, contain, and assign value. Museums,
botanical surveys, colonial collections all operate by the same gesture. The frame precedes the thing it encloses and tells you how to feel about it.

Anna allows the frames to distort, giving way to otherworldly plants which resist taxonomy, forms encountered as a child might, before language has assigned a category. They do not illustrate the lost forest. They hold the shape of a world that operated by its own logic, before that was overwritten by the need to make sense of things.
