Cocktails & cool people, the perfect combination 👌

Last week I had the pleasure of heading along to the @edinburgh_cocktailweek launch and, as always, it was such a brilliant night! 💃

It’s honestly amazing to see how much Cocktail Week has grown over the years. It's an extraordinary world of cocktail-filled chaos, incredible bars, brilliant events and the Cocktail Village bringing everyone together. 🍹🥂

I was delighted to see one of my favourites @whiteboxcocktails at the village! The Pocket Negroni will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

Huge congratulations to @jf3rdparty and @garyanderson_85 for pulling off another phenomenal event!
I am in awe of everything they do behind the scenes to make this happen year after year.
The amount of work that goes into creating something this brilliant is seriously impressive, and Edinburgh is very lucky to have you both! 👏

Only 5 days left so get yourself along to one of the bars involved or head to the Cocktail Village for some seriously tasty tipples! Slàinte 🥂🍸

An absolute bomb from Lark - Rare Seppeltsfield Tawny Cask bottled at 47.5% ABV.
This is where Tasmanian malt meets Barossa tawny in marraige! Even the duck agrees 👍

👃 - roasted hazelnuts and caramel dominate, almost overpowering
👅 - big, oily and chewy - beautiful. Sticky date pudding, mocha, dried fruit and chocolate.
🏁 - long and decadent.

Whiskywanderlust score 90/100

EVOLUTION 2026 - THE GARAGE, GLASGOW

Walking back up those stairs for the first time in over 20 years was a little triggering 😂 But also brilliant, what a space to see reborn as an events venue.

The rooms were packed, the activations were vibrant, and it wouldn’t be a trip to the Garage without Hooch and Bacardi Breezers putting in an appearance.

After a decade of the industry telling us to sip slower, pay more, and savour the craft, 2026 might be the year on-trade remembers how to have fun?
Premium spirits volumes are down. BuzzBallz alone added £73m to the UK market this year. This room didn’t want a tasting note, it wanted a good time. #DrinkAbility #EV26 #InverarityMorton #thegarageglasgow

There is something special about standing in the fields where the story of our whisky begins.🌾

Last week, we welcomed guests to Aberargie Distillery for an exclusive preview of our Expressions range, sharing lunch amongst the barley that will one day find its way into the bottle.

It was a privilege to share how each whisky has been shaped to let its barley variety shine, celebrating the character of the grain from barley to bottle. 🥃

2026: Week thirty-one 📖

This was a lovely week!! It included a very fun work trip, a nostalgic concert and plenty more ✨

Now to catch up with everything I didn’t manage to get done as a consequence of having fun 🙃

I hope your week was lovely and that the next is even better 🫶

1. A gorgeous setting for trying out some new drams from @aberargie 🥃 (press invite)

2. This spread by @mhorbread was INCREDIBLE. In the middle of a barley field too? Exquisite. 🍽️

3. We were clearing out the @invernessmusicaltheatre and costume store this weekend and came across the wedding dress box, resulting in this unhinged image of us having lunch looking like jilted brides 👰‍♀️

4. Mum has got involved in our attempt to make our own wedding confetti 🥀

5. The most incredible night at @mikainstagram 🎶 We went on a family holiday when we were kids and only had one CD in the car which was Mika’s Life in Cartoon Motion, so took us right back 💿

6. Box of mojitos anyone?

7. We’ve had to give our plum tree a brutal prune 😭 Poor thing simply could not bear the weight of the fruit she had decided to produce 🌳

8. We found many fun things in the costume store, including the first dress @nicgray33 ever wore in a show 🎭

9. Mum recently did up my childhood bedroom and I am loving the colour combo ❤️💙

10. Now that is PR 😎 (press gift)

We’ve got plenty of shows at @thegildedsaloon to tide you over until August btw 🥳

It’s Work in Progress central so there’s plenty of chances to see some top-notch comics work out their Fringe shows throughout June, alongside our typical weekly selection of Cabaret, Comedy, Magic, LEGO and, of course, The Comedy Show 🪩

You can always make a full evening of it and treat yourself to a bite to eat and a tipple upstairs before the show 👀
