Since the beginning of this year, my world has gotten smaller and smaller. Living slow, loving what’s right in front of me, and growing a baby in my belly over the past 8+ months.

So much in life feels like we have to catch up, keep in touch, stay on top of. But this year was all about narrowing down and only do that which I find valuable - a radical act in a world that rewards productivity, certainty, connectivity.

Since moving to the desert almost 7 years ago, I have consciously chosen the slower life. Not to follow some slow living trend, but because I’m convinced that tuning into our body and our stillness guides us to our authenticity, our alignment and ultimately our abundance.

This year I took it to a whole new level. After finishing a personal leadership training in January with @atlasprojectofficial , and going through a miscarriage at the same time (more on both later) two messages came through clearly:

1. The baby was demanding space, capacity from me in order to be born
2. And I knew I had left behind my need to prove anything to anyone.

My people are my happy place. Both the community this desert has offered me, as well as the loved ones that decided to travel from far (with babies! Or leaving babies behind!) just makes me feel so blessed and loved and I just can’t believe this is my life except for I CAN BELIEVE IT! It’s amazing! and I love it! and I know how I did it and I wish it for you too please join me in the courage club!!!!!! (Doors close on Monday) sorry not sorry for selling, I just want more people to live in peace and bliss. That’s it. Ps go to nr11 to see @dougevans in his happy place

Here’re some helpful things that I found, so far. I will keep sharing more! In all of the sadness and despair it’s beautiful to witness so much generosity! I’ve heard that it’s impossible to even volunteer in LA as so many have come out to help! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks to everyone who has checked in on me and my house. The evacuation order was lifted so, so far so good, I just wish I could be there to help in person.
Hey actors @sagaftrafound is also here for our members. There are lots of resources, but it’s all so overwhelming, and we need to remember that rebuilding will take a very long time—especially for the families who lost their insurance right before the fires. Let’s commit to being there for them for the long haul.😘😘😘
@chateaumarmont is my home office basically so I’m so happy to see their are being so generous as well. You guys are the best!!

It is my honor to serve you a warm cup of Ceremonial Cacao under the desert stars as we circle together around the sacred fire to make offerings and prayers for the New Year.

In ceremony, with the support of one another and the medicine of Sacred Cacao, we have the spaciousness to reflect on the last year, to release what we are complete with from 2024, to set intentions for the coming year and to celebrate new beginnings.
