POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I want to be completely honest with you because I care deeply about this. I started the RISE and SHINE sober party because I truly believe we’re capable of so much more, individually and as a collective, when we stop knowingly poisoning our sacred bodies with alcohol, on the level we currently are. It’s like we’re holding ourselves back, spending so much money, time and energy on something that doesn’t serve our highest good. Far from it!

Now, I’m not here to judge anyone’s choice, that’s your body, your life. But I also want to be real that it will lead to: major health problems, sickness, depression, headaches, exhaustion, mood swings, bad decisions, anger—the list goes on.

IM NOT AGAINST BOOZE. But I look at our reality and our problems, and I see en Masse the way we currently socialise and celebrate is totally unbalanced to the side of toxicity. Globally!

I’ve had so many honest conversations with people about wanting to cut back or stop drinking, only to find that weeks or months later, nothing has changed.

The more we love and respect our bodies, the more we can change our world. Supporting each other in exploring a sober lifestyle isn’t just about health—it’s about reclaiming our power, our clarity, our joy.

I’m super passionate about the health of our bodies and the health of our planet. They are both in direct relation.

That’s why I’ve dedicated the last ten years to RISE and SHINE, creating a community that celebrates life without alcohol. And I truly hope you’ll join me. Together, we can rise, shine, and show what’s possible when we choose to love ourselves fully.

If you’re feeling stuck—whether you want to cut back, quit, or just need some support—please reach out. I’ve been there, partying for days with all the drinks and drugs you can imagine. I know how to make this journey an epic, transformative experience, and I’d love to help you do the same.

Because I believe positive change starts with love—for ourselves—and health is one of the most powerful ways we create that change.

So that’s why I started @riseandshineparties 🩵

Rise and Shine: 14 Bedford Square, London W1 (14 Jan 23): Portrait

The first set of portrait photos ever taken at the new Rise and Shine afternoon venue off Tottenham Court Road.

A much brighter venue than Steelworks or Ladbroke Grove and more intimate, spanning 2 floors of a Georgian townhouse.

I had the DSLR with me for an event at 7pm round the corner, so tried a few test shots.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages are served at the back (this being a Sober Rave).

Tried a few shots on a DSLR without flash, but the ones with flash came out better and of a higher quality than any iPhone photo taken at either venue. Krystal Roxx is a good test subject given she is very active and a high shutter speed is required.

2. Chris Fountain (no flash)
