CHICANO HOLLYWOOD 2026.

It was an honor attending this year and seeing the growth of the festival. It was great to screen “Little One” and be a part of a great lineup of films. Got to share the screening with some cast, crew, and family!

It was amazing to see Ken Diaz accept the Community Impact Legacy award. His SFX Makeup work was a huge inspiration for Little One.

Congratulations to Betania, Johnny, the entire team @chicanohollywoodfilmfestival

Also, congrats to Francisco for winning BEST US SHORT for @luzdelalunafilm! Love to see it.

@luzdelalunafilm continues to show that it is community that makes anything worthwhile, and I’m grateful to everyone I’ve connected with through its creation.

It is a community that came together to tell a story and it’s the community that deserves praise. Thank you to the team at @chicanohollywood @chicanohollywoodfilmfestival for recognizing that.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it exist. Thank you to everyone who has helped put it to screen. Thank you to everyone who gave it a watch.

I am grateful to my friends @ashleysmclovin and @jpausanos for helping me tell this story and for guiding me as I learned to follow through. I’m grateful to my cast and crew whose faces and last names prove how hungry the Bay is for the stories that do well to represent us.

Let’s tell more and more stories together!

Directing “Honey Bee” was such a privilege, and an extremely important personal feat. Telling a complex story about a Latine family that wasn’t reduced to stereotypes was our vision from the start.

In a time where representation is DIRE, where Latinos make up 19.5% of the US population, yet hold less than 4% of behind the scene positions in Film and TV, it was my mission to hire all Latina Production Heads for my team.

Here’s a short list of A+ Artists and Techs for you to hire away and give them all the jobs 🐝
