@anthonyleenders - FIRÉLÉ N°3, 2025

Anthony presents functional objects that also hold symbolic or spiritual value, showcasing his mastery of materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. His work evokes a world of continuity, contemplation, and respect, using natural materials, time, and balance to create a meditative atmosphere. Rooted in ecological awareness, much of his work is made from recycled materials, offering an alternative to consumerism. By revaluing traditional crafts, Anthony creates a unique visual language that blends memories of the past with visions for the future, emphasizing the importance of care and maintenance in his creations.

A wonderful experience and colaboration with @charlesdecordier. It is always a mixed feeling to see so many works leaving my presence. But i'm also very comforted to see the places and faces where they will be housed. So thank you all for the love, and thank you for providing me with space and energy to continue my practice. Looking forward to the new year, good vibrations. ✨ Rooting season kicking in, reflect and act. :) 🙏

Life is an act of conversation. As the stories of our lives develop, they intersect with those of the people around us. This continuous contact with others challenges our preconceptions while also bringing nuance and adding richness and flavor to our waking days. Still, we hardly give it a second thought.

Pieces of art, too, are constantly in conversation. They come into existence meaning one thing, or nothing in particular, only to have millions of spectators attaching various personal meanings to them. Talking about pieces of art can lead to new perspectives. Similarly, the mere act of placing two previously unrelated works next to each other can open an entirely new dialogue.

“Hidden Conversations” aims to uncover this constant process back-and-forth by inviting different artists, coming from a true variety of backgrounds. Sometimes, their works will complement each other quite organically. At other times, the conversation might be more rough and unexpected. During this group expo, we invite the conversations between these works, the artists and the spectators to come to the foreground.

Experience the polyphony with us, and come add your own voice to the mix, too.

“Originating from play, the animation of the absent, shell as residue of the oyster, the representation and manifestation of life outside the human world.
Ironically, this is also a recreation of the absent life for which humans are responsible.
The butterfly, once again a symbol of transformation with a nod to renewable energy and the pursuit of autonomy in service of transformation, even for the works themselves.”
