Earlier this month, I had the honor of sitting down with CBS’s Anthony Mason for A New York Evening with Maggie Rose, presented by the GRAMMY Museum.

We talked about the journey that led me to Half Moon, finding my voice along the way, becoming a mother while making this record, and the story behind “Gentle Man,” a song that took on a whole new meaning when I found out I was going to have my son.

Anthony, thank you for such a thoughtful conversation and for the incredibly kind words about this music. And thank you to the GRAMMY Museum for giving us the space to tell these stories.

As final-round GRAMMY voting comes to a close, I’m incredibly proud of Half Moon and “Gentle Man,” and grateful to everyone who has listened, shared this music, come to a show, or supported this record in any way.

To my fellow Recording Academy members, thank you for your consideration. 🤍🌗

I love the concept @taylorvholland explains here about the acting process and “discovering inner mansions.” Chuck Lorre said it himself, she really does have an innate sweetness. Our full conversation is now live on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

Singer-songwriter Ashe opened up to @anthonymasoncbs about the insecurities that once made her question her potential as a performer: “I just thought I could own that I was a great songwriter, but not that I was a great performer or that I could be a great artist.”

I saw an amazing piece on our friend @jonbatiste on 60 Minutes, and it reminded me of his stunning performance with @emilykingmusic & @sarabareilles which I had the honor of producing alongside Anthony Mason, Nicole Rechter, John Varvatos, Kevin Bacon & LL COOL J. Steve Jordan served as the MD

There’s so much healing energy in this song, and we’re sending all of it to Jon’s extraordinary wife, @suleikajaouad 🙏🏻❤️
