Dutch jazz was being seen and heard at Orange Jazz Days! Within the sharp festival programme, we hosted our own podcast studio in the smallest room, The Pit, supported by our NPO Luister partner Omroep MAX. In two afternoons and early evenings we had a bunch of lovely, lively interviews, alongside a whole series of exclusive sessions. Fay Claassen, Teus Nobel, Anton de Bruin, Hermine Deurloo, Guy Salamon, TJ’s Pretty People, North Sea String Quartet: they all came to play for the microphones and sometimes also the cameras of injazz and Buma Cultuur.

You can watch the sessions with Teus Nobel Trio and North Sea String Quartet now on our YouTube channel and website. And, in the coming weeks, you will hear recordings of these sessions in our podcast. Stay tuned!

A big thanks to all the artists who came along and shared their music and stories. And thanks to our partners omroep MAX and TivoliVredenburg.

The competition that took a full year to build is finally behind us.

𝟯𝟬𝟲 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 raised their hands this year. 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 it to the stage in the park and for a few nights, that stage belonged to them. You were there too: curious, open, ready to bet on names you'd never heard before. That kind of trust doesn't happen everywhere. Thank you for bringing it here.

Twelve very different sounds, twelve very different stories, one impossible question hanging over the park each night: how do you even choose? Good thing that wasn't up to us. The jury did the hard part, and in the end, the prizes scattered across Europe: UK, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, while 3 found their way home, right here in Romania.

Finding a great new band is exciting. Watching one come back stronger, year after year, is something else entirely. That's the part that stays with us.

This competition was never just about one night. It's about the years after. And you've been here for all of them. Thank you. 👏
