This week, the Argentinian artist Andres Reisinger posted on his Instagram account the finishing of his new art installment in Jeddah’s historic Al Balad, leaving the passersby enchanted by the view of a large pink fabric dress up of one of the place’s ancient buildings.

Known for Saudis as Al Balad, this ancient area is listed among UNESCO’s world heritage sites. A walk through its centuries old alleys, and homes leaves tourists and locals in awe. It is organized by blocks of Mangabi stone. While walking, if you look anywhere above you, almost all buildings are decorated with window Roshans, a symbol of Arabic architecture. Al Balad consists of 600 heritage buildings, many of which have undergone transformation into art galleries and cafes, in addition to 30 mosques, and 5 historic local markets ‘souks’.

In another take over, Andres Reisinger uses digital art to conceptualize pink and white fabric in scene photographs, adding a modern touch to the existing beauty of Arabian desserts.

Nancy Baker Cahill is a noteworthy AR digital artist to watch ✨

Experience her futuristic exhibit ‘CENTO’ on the 8th floor terrace of the Whitney Museum. Baker Cahill shines light on our planet’s climate crisis allowing exhibitors to add 12 types of feathers representing various properties needed to maintain CENTO’s survival.

JPLLC previously supported the launch of Baker Cahill’s “Mushroom Cloud” exhibition at Miami Art Week in 2021 (in collaboration with Aorist and FITZ & CO). Baker Cahill has consistently influenced our interaction with digital art and reality while simultaneously merging her AR, visual art, and sculpture into a hands-on experience.

I am happy to announce 3rd exhibition that I am curating at @nxtmuseum. This will be one extraordinary journey through phenomena that fascinates us all, swarming, Ai, body, choreography, dance, being human and collaborative…

Nxt Museum presents: Random International solo exhibition
‘Life in a Different Resolution’ opening 27th September 2023

For the first time, Nxt Museum will focus on the work of a single art collective. It will present a body of work, including newly completed pieces, by pioneering postdigital artists, Random International (@randominternational). The exhibition, curated by Bogomir Doringer (@bogomirdoringer), will take us on a journey from their beginnings in 2006 to their evolution towards co-creation and collective authorship.

Prepare to witness the European premiere of their latest installation, ‘Living Room’, which captivated audiences at Art Basel Miami (@artbasel) in collaboration with Aorist (@aorist.art). Amongst other awe-inspiring artworks, including algorithmic swarm creations and live-generated NFT pieces, ‘Living Room’ embodies Random International's central question - ‘What does it mean to be alive today when technological developments impact the human condition?’

Nxt Museum continues this investigation through an accompanying public programme, inviting local artists, performers, and you, to interact with the works.

Mark your calendars to join Random International and Nxt Museum to experience ‘Life in a Different Resolution.’
