Politics & people rights talk!

"The people united will never be defeated!"
Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in last night's Students Against State Violence demonstration, and to those who spoke at the rally to share their stories and fuel this revolution! From my experience yesterday, I learned that political activism is something that can make you realize your vulnerability while simultaneously making you feel empowered and indestructible. Despite what the media says, this movement is a nonviolent one. As we marched, we were "armed" with only megaphones and signs to simply make our voices heard. The leaders of this movement speak of change, but only by means of love and support as we stand in solidarity with ALL victims of racism, injustice, and violence in our society. I am proud to be part of this movement because it is our duty to ensure that everyone has the human rights they deserve, and I hope to see that change occur in the near future. #blacklivesmatter
