POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Throughout the past two summers, I witnessed and experienced the thoughtful research, choreographic and interdisciplinary development, and artistic becoming of a beautifully unique, deeply invested, and earthshakingly talented group of artists. I’m humbled and honored to have been a member of this MFA in Dance cohort at Hollins University.

There was a remarkable, magical magnetism that I won’t forget. The care and commitment to each other and our collective energies toward our dance research is a rarity I wish all artists could experience.

My thesis, Choreographic Oracles: Artificial Intelligence, Ritual, and Technological Implications for the Future of Dance, allowed me to create a new framework through which to archive, create, learn, and teach movement. In performance, I verbally communicated with an AI movement system I built and trained through my own research. It can measure my body, identify dance shapes and movement, and offer real-time motion capture feedback. Effectively, I bridged the gap between embodied knowledge and embodied technology as a means of research and performance. More content on that to come!

All of my coursework is now complete, and I’m putting the final touches on my written thesis.
Thank you to my friends, family, professors, and mentors for making this whole process possible…
The work and research continue forward. MFA, here I come!!

First international artist residency 🙏🏾

Grateful for the opportunity to have served as a guest artist in residence at Oberlin College in Ohio.

During this residency in May, I performed as a featured ensemble dancer in the Oberlin Dance Company Spring 2026 production Laugh and Cry Can Live Same House, directed by Dr. Talawa Prestø. I also had the privilege of facilitating a Carnival-inspired movement workshop with students from the Africana Studies cohort.

It is an honour to represent Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean in this capacity. There is a deep and undeniable beauty in cultural exchange—where movement becomes language, and difference becomes connection.

I thank God for opening new doors of opportunity and for intricately guiding each step along this journey.

Deep gratitude to Dr. Talawa Prestø for the trust, guidance, and for holding space for me within this project, to the beautiful artists I shared space with and the entire cast for the generosity, energy, and shared artistry, and to my loving friends who flew in and drove for hourssss just to come and witness me perform ❤️❤️
