On Sunday, the love and support that was shown for Tiny Home Takeout, was anything but tiny; Local businesses and the community, came together in a BIG way. Marking its 6th year, Hunger No More invited the community to come hungry, give if you can, and enjoy an amazing afternoon that was filled with free food provided by local businesses, a variety of family-friendly activities, art and various vendors, an open free library, live music, silent auctions, and more! Tiny Home Takeout ( located in @dtkitchener ) serves the community, 5 days a week, by providing meals on a pay-what-you-can basis. Fresh, homemade food. No barriers. Stop by on a weekday instead if you want a more laid-back vibe. 🫒 @sfpanini - don’t forget the house marinated olives on the side! 🥤 @bigds_hotchicken - try their brand new dirty soda’s, we’re obsessed! 🌱 @cafepyrus - everything on the menu is vegan, and can be made gluten-free! 🍅@meltwich_kitchener - Tomato bisque soup is the perfect dip for their cheesy grilled sandwiches. 🔥 @marcheleos- do NOT sleep on their hot food bar. I had the chance yesterday to stop by a family-run bakery in downtown Kitchener yesterday, after attending Oktoberfest. When you walk in, you’re greeted with the wonderful smells and vibes of Portuguese pastries, coffees and more. Following their original location located at the St. Jacob’s Farmer’s Market in Waterloo, they have now been able to open more locations across the tri-cities in New Hamburg and Cambridge as well. A Portuguesa is your home away from home, where you can relax and enjoy amazing food, like sandwiches, soups, as well as numerous pastries and treats. They never fail to disappoint with their sandwiches, and my personal favourite which I highly recommend, is the Breakfast Deluxe on the Portuguese Bun (papo seco for my Portuguese friends:) I hope that after reading this, you too will get to enjoy the amazing food and service you will receive here at A Portuguesa Bakery🤗🇵🇹❤️ Happy Thanksgiving to all!🦃🫶 #supportlocal #aportuguesabakery #contencreator #thanksgiving
