Happy National Mushroom Month! We are seeing the mushrooms in their finest form since the first of September. Each year, once the temps drop, we see peak growing of our varieties. Today, we’re at the @corralesgrowersmarket offering Italian, Blue, and Pink Oysters, Pioppino, Chestnut, Black Pearl, Lion’s Mane and shiitake. Each of these mushrooms have a distinct flavor profile and texture. Shopping at your local farmers’ market is the only way you’ll be able to find mushrooms like this. Venture out to one of the many #farmersmarkets in #newmexico and support your local farmer.

Today I was so happy to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of @efmushrooms SPOREfront at @wesstnewmexico ❤️✨🍄 @apowers82 made cakes 🍰- one with CANDY CAP MUSHROOMS - Have you ever heard of such a thing?! I took home a tank top for chillin at home, some morels (currently soaking), lion’s mane powder and tincture, and a mushroom block to throw in the garden 🪴 We toured the facility and I just had a lovely time :) Very inspiring ✨ Btw I do have original artworks and stickers there 🥰

Well there were happy moments aplenty during Friday evening’s @abqartwalk and I’m grateful for them ❤️ Thank you to each and every one of you who stopped by and I especially appreciate your purchases too! Thanks to Oowlan for capturing these pics of @apowers82 and I as well as me yelling at the artwalkers lol (just saying hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii) Thank you to @poetkatrinakaye for wanting my art to accompany her poems and be the cover of her newest publication - coming sooon! I am unsure how much longer art full time will sustain me in this capitalist society. I feel like I should be experiencing an incline by now - and it’s just not happening… SO! THANK GOD FOR THIS GARDEN! Thank you to my friend Chami for allowing me to grow things in her yard! This has awakened something in me that feeds peace and positivity. 🙏🌻🥬🥔🫜🫛🧅🌱

Goodbye 2025. I have so much to be grateful for in this life and this past year only reminded me of how far I have come. 1- I have a beautiful family even if it doesn’t quite look like I expected 2- I have shared the stage and built something amazing with so many amazing people who want to make Albuquerque stronger 3- I have deepened many special relationships in my life and allowed myself to just be 4- I have amazing people in my life who I can call family and who want me to be apart of the everyday things 5- I have learned to say yes and show up even when it’s hard, because i will enjoy it and it will mean the world to me 6- I can be apart of nurturing something amazing and it can be better than I ever expected 7- Just because these memories aren’t of motherhood, they can still be meaningful 8- I have surrounded myself with amazing, authentic, and supportive women who believe in me as much as I believe in them 9- I have lived through hard things that I cannot control and it did not break me (the first, second or third time) 10- I found a love that scares, humors, and drives me 11- I survived my biggest fears coming true and found love on the other side 12- There are people in our lives who can help ease the weight of our burdens with care 13- I get to witness innocence and pure love on the daily 14- There is still joy in the hardest of times 15- I can still create for others and show up out of love 16- I have friendships that go deep and ground me when I need it most 17- I get to be in the presence of pure sunshine 18- There is still the now and we have so much adventure left in us 19- I have a soft place to rest my head and set down my worries 20- (not pictured) I have the opportunity to capture more moments and more of the people in my life who make life worth living

2025 Was quite the year on so many levels and containing what we made, built, grew, and served to a reel is pretty tough. Since the vision for the farm began, it was rooted in community collaboration. The mycelium is our main partner and collaborator reaching far and wide in the community. We work with so many unique customers, chefs, collaborators and UPenders that we cannot possibly list them all here but this video hopes to embody everyone’s contribution in a meaningful way. For the Love of Mushrooms IV Five-course wine-paired mushroom dinner with live music by Le Chat Lunatique August 18 | 7pm | $130 Umami, baby! Join us for our fourth annual culinary celebration of mushrooms. We will dive into the fifth primary taste and savor this flavor profile in every course. Chef Jens is working with some of the best mushroom cultivators and foragers to bring you an incredible culinary experience. Wine Director, James Krajewski will pair each course to further accentuate these flavors. Farmers include: Enchanted Farms Mushrooms, Midnight Disco Fungi, Full Circle Mushrooms, and more. With this being the farm’s first Christmas, we thought to enjoy some mushroom posole using @buenofoods red chile and hominy. We used blue oyster mushrooms and seasoned them first with cumin, Chimayo red chile, garlic and onion powder. We massaged the mushrooms with a little olive oil and veggie broth then sautéed them for about 15 minutes. The broth includes eight cups of veggie broth, red chile, and about six cups of water. We added white onion, fresh garlic, and a few bay leaves. The second mushroom used was pioppino, which we chopped and added straight to the broth. Then add the sautéed blue oysters. Let that cook until the hominy opens and softens. The flavors were on point and the soup felt warming and happy☺️🍄🫶🏻 #posole #mushroomrecipes #vegansoups #vegetarianrecipes

One of the best things about being a mushroom farm is working with the Chefs and Creatives making next-level experiences happen. Farming is a seven day a week job and we were able to take a small respite to enjoy @digandserve special DINE IN THE WILD featuring the incredibly talented Chef at @oni.abq , David Gaspar. If you know what’s good, Oni is one of the best restaurants in ABQ bringing the bold umami and Japanese flavors. The event was hosted at @staykitfox which offers a truly unique glamping and dining experience in the wild and under the dark skies of northern New Mexico. The Chefs use all local ingredients from a network of farmers throughout the area. The first course were flavorful skewers, including Lion’s Mane. The second course highlighted more veggies with a cauliflower dish that was so tasty. The main was Chef Gaspar’s signature heaping bowl of Ramen, a perfect warming meal for a cool fall night. To cap things off, a clever s’more with a yuzu flavored mallow that we can’t stop thinking about was presented for the campfire. This experience brings strangers and friends together to dine, commune, and enjoy the beauty of the people and food in our state.
