You can't always choose what happens next, but you can choose who you climb with.

Very grateful for the people who challenge me, back me, and keep reminding me to look up.

Great to be on the walls again for day 2 at camp.

And with @ableclimbingnsw's Para Climbing Come n Try in action also - it was very reminiscent of my first day climbing.....

Inspired by @applep1e to one day be climbing in the @ausparaclimbingteam

First time volunteering at the 2026 Paraclimbing National Cup held by @sportclimbingaustralia @ausparalympics at @urbanclimb

Spent the morning belaying and the afternoon taking photos, documenting the competition and all the athletes through my own perspective.

I saw nervous moments, falls, last moves giving everything they had, hugs and smiles at the podium, and the pure joy from every climber.

Every athlete showed up fully committed, and every single performance deserved respect.

What stayed with me the most wasn’t the results or medals, but the energy, support, and happiness shared between everyone there.

@sportclimbingaustralia put on an absolute pearler of an event. 😍

To see the Australian Para Climbing community growing in numbers like it is, it's truly food for the soul. ☺️

🙌🏽 Congratulations to everyone for competing and bringing your A game.

We couldn't let the day go by without celebrating @sarah_la and her recent silver medal win bringing her tally to 11 @worldclimbing medals. 🤗 Such an incredible achievement. 🎉

This week I’m Hanging with @applep1e 🙌

Climbing can give us so much, but it can also take so much away from us.
Angus lost his left leg in a climbing accident but it did not stop him.
Through resilience, determination and a supportive paraclimbing community he has his sights set on representing the green & gold on the grand Olympic stage.

I truly enjoyed sharing space with Angus and feeding of his psych! Now climbing as hard as he was pre incident he is more driven than ever!

Still buzzing from this weekend.

I was invited to join the @ausparaclimbingteam training camp and wow… the level of focus, strength and positivity in this group is unreal. These athletes are training with one goal in mind: Paralympic gold.

Massive thanks to Alex and Katie for the leadership, @elevateclimbingvillawood @carlieclimbs and the whole setting crew and staff who made the camp so good.

What a team. 🔥

Discovering Para Climbing just 12 months ago has been a thrilling start to the journey.

It began with a simple come 'n' try session that left me wondering how much higher I could go… and I’ve been chasing that question ever since.

I joined the @ausparaclimbingteam early this year - began training with them, and learning the sport fast.

By June, I was at my first international competition, the Innsbruck World Cup where I placed 8th out of 15.

Then came Seoul in September, where I represented Australia at the @ifsclimbing Para Climbing World Championships, where I climbed to 6th place.
Competing alongside the best in the world was very inspiring and a significant learning experience.

Wearing the green and gold with @sportclimbingaustralia has been one of the greatest honours of my life.

Although I could not have done this on my own. I’m tremendously grateful for everyone's support - my coach Alex, team physio Katie, SCA staff, my teammates, mentor Keith, all my friends, family, my incredible girlfriend, everyone over socials, and a special thank you to my father, James Caruana, for personally sponsoring my journey to Seoul.

I’m fully committed to this sport. And with everyone’s belief and encouragement, I'm reaching new heights, time and time again.

My training continues, momentum is building, and as we head toward the 2026 season, I’m feeling strong about the progress I’ve made (even since World Champs).

The only way is up.
