I’ll be running support while my husband, @alphagalhikes, hikes the Appalachian Trail. I hope to find time to do scenic short hikes along the way!

#slotcanyons of #deathvalley - we explored #mosaiccanyon and #goldencanyon - Mosaic became too slick to proceed when we got to the second ‘obstacle’ Golden canyon was interesting and led to an area known as the #redcathedral

#naturalbridge trail in #deathvalley #deathvalleynationalpark is an easy hike up an old slot canyon. The views out over the #drylakebed are fantastic and the flowers carpeted the hillsides

The #superbloom is about to enter full swing in #deathvalley - the expansive carpets of soft flowers are unlike the desert I’m used to…yellows, purples, and whites all around.

Made it to the bottom of the USA, Death Valley Badwater Basin, 282 feet below sea level. With all the rains, there was actually a lake there! Super briney! The super bloom is also in progress (flowers in a future post). The green water is right up the road at ‘The Devils Golf Course’
