When #mumbaigirlinhyderabad landed in Mumbai. .
.
An ajrakh from the stables of Sufiyan Khatri. Isn't the geometric pattern to die for? And the colour is soo cookies and cream!!! Of course I have food on my mind. Because 4 days of absofuckinlutely divine maharashtrian food coming up. .
.
Back to my outfit though. So..a very cookies and cream ajrakh, plain black tank and my current constant companions - the kantha tote and a black leather jacket. Spikes on my feet... because who can say no to shoes like that? .

I was feeling terrible about not being able to post any thing "ajrakh" for @afsarnama 's #gangsofajrakhpur ...and then I kicked myself for almost forgetting about this soft mul beauty from the stables of @sufiyankhatri .

.

I wore it first when I was traveling to a little town called "Chopda" (yes...yes...) somewhere in interior Maharashtra. For my nephew's wedding. I had to fly from Hyd to Bombay, wait 2 hours at Bombay airport for my ride to Nashik, take a bus from Nashik to Dhule... a pit stop there...and then 4 more hours to Chopda. The fact that the road from Nashik all the way to Chopda is terrible ..was devastating!! Saare anjar panjar dheele ho gaye. The entire journey was the definition of dravidi praanayam if you know what that means. @apurv.v please note!

This soffft ajrakh saree was my comforting companion on this mad trip. Paired with a leather jacket - because it just was so beautiful with it!

The second time was for a trip to school. Paired with a custom made mul shirt and purple doc Martens.
