۶ৎ˙⋆ 2 looked up royal secrets by @bridgetl.rose 🏎️👑

rating: 5 🌟

2 locked up royal secrets was exactly what i expected it to be, absolutely incredible! it takes a lot for a marriage of convenience to truly surprise me these days, but this one hit every single mark.

constanza is the proof that a girl can have 2 sides. being a princess of papavero and also f2 driver at the same time, the duality of a girl 🤭 she was such a strong fmc, and didn't let anything or anyone stop her. the way she just kept pushing (and beating christian), and never gave up, even when she knew the consequences she would face if anyone discovered her secret.

thomas, the man that you are!! i don't know how she does it, but every single men written by bridget is a walking green flag that makes me fall for him. this man was so respectful, loving and every quality a woman wants in a man. also the scene where they picked the ring??? I DIED 😩😮‍💨

the true magic of this book lies in consta and thomas. their journey together is everything a romance reader could possibly hope for. the royal marriage of convenience trope is executed to absolute perfection—the tension, the trust, and the profound connection that blossoms between them felt so incredibly genuine. watching them navigate their arrangement and slowly peel back each other's layers was an amazing experience.

the setting also added a lot to the story. on one side we have the royal side which was very well written, but ofc we also have the motorsports side of it which brings all the excitement. i hated christian but loved seeing how karma got to him.

i honestly didn't want this book to end. like with all her other books, bridget did not disappoint and i adored every second of this book. thank you so much @bridgetl.rose for sending me this arc 🥹🫶🏻

۶ৎ˙⋆ fire and ice by @carlyrobynauthor 🏒🔥

rating: 4.5 🌟

first of all, thank you so much to valentine pr & carly robyn for sending me the e-arc to this book! i read ice ice baby when it came out, and i've been waiting for this one for a while, so i was so excited to see the arc in my inbox 🤭

one thing about me is than i LOVE sport romances and the fake dating trope is one of my favorites, so going in, i already had high hopes… and this book absolutely delivered!

kennedy is such a breath of fresh air. she’s this absolute ball of sunshine, and i loved how hardworking and ambitious she is when it comes to her baking business. as someone who loves to bake, i especially appreciated how vividly her passion came through, the descriptions alone had me craving a trip to the nearest bakery. she’s chaotic in the best way, but underneath that energy is such a big heart that makes it impossible not to root for her from page one.

then there’s cameron, the grumpy goalie. on the outside, he’s all walls and "stay away from me" energy, but seeing what’s actually going on underneath, especially how he handles the pressure of his career and his health, made him feel so much more human. he’s not just a "broody athlete", he’s someone who is clearly trying his best to protect himself, and watching him slowly let his guard down was everything.

their relationship is definitely where the book shines. their banter felt so natural and not at all forced, it was that kind of back-and-forth that makes you keep turning pages way past your bedtime. i loved that it wasn't just physical chemistry (though that was definitely there), it genuinely felt like they understood each other on a deeper level.

as for the plot, the fake dating trope was done so well here. it actually served a purpose for both characters and gave them a believable reason to grow closer, until those lines between fake and real started to blur. gigi was infuriating (i wanted to punch something every time she showed up), but i loved the dynamic between the rest of the characters, and cannot wait for the next book! (jake??🙈)

۶ৎ˙⋆ cover reveal for the beautiful @bridgetl.rose 👑🩷

can we take a minute to appreciate this GORGEOUS cover bc i'm absolutely obsessed!!!🤭

blurb:
crown princess constanza lombardi of papavero
i have been leading a double life for over a decade, secretly racing in formula two without my parents or my country knowing. if they did, they would force me to stop, demand i give up my reason for breathing. so, i’ve done all i could to keep my secret, but with my hand in marriage promised to the future king of monaco, my friend thomas, i doubt i will be able to hide my true self from him for long.
and i’m terrified once he finds out, so will the rest of the world.

crown prince thomas crovetto of monaco
i have never wanted to be king. it’s a role i was born into, a responsibility placed upon my shoulders that i had no choice but to accept as a part of me. but all of it changes when becoming king means that i will become her husband, too. and i would do anything and everything in my power to protect constanza lombardi from the cruel world we live in, including going against my own family as they plot her demise and try to sabotage her dream to win her first and last trophy in formula two.
as a man with a secret life of my own and the one who is hopelessly in love with her, i will do whatever it takes to safeguard her hidden identity.

۶ৎ˙⋆ ice ice baby by @carlyrobynauthor 🏒✨️

release day: 6 november 2025 🫧

it's been a while since i've read a hockey romance and so i was more than happy when i received the arc for this one🙈

in this book, we get to read about maya, a bookstore manager who aspires to be a writer, and cole, a professional hockey player.

maya was such a strong woman, who truly gave her all to those she cares about (especially her siblings). i loved how bookish she was, and how she could ramble on about book tropes forever (me too girl).

cole was a sweetheart. he was respectful, loving and patient. i loved how he started reading just to have an excuse to see her again, and how he made an effort to get along well with her siblings (especially her brother).

another thing i really liked about this book was how they each came from a separate world, and started from strangers, slowly becoming friends until they really start dating. it's refreshing, seeing as most hockey romances i read the fmc does have some ties to the hockey world and its just not the same.

i did have some trouble with the miscommunication trope in this one (because it's not my favorite trope) but overall i really enjoyed this book🤭

thank you so much @carlyrobynauthor and @valentine_pr_ for sending me the e-arc for this book!!🫶🏻

۶ৎ˙⋆ darkmore penitentiary series by @carolinepeckham & @susanne_valenti

let's all ignore the fact that i disappeared for another month (i swear it's not my fault, it's been a long month😭) but i finally finished the last series in the solaria universe!!!!

i liked this one, less than the others but i always loved rosalie so you just know i liked this series too 🤭 i LOVED sin. like, that man was everything!!! ethan was my second fav (tied with cain ofc) and unfortunately roary came in last, although he was a bit better in the last book. i'm kinda disappointed i didn't like him as much as i hoped but ig it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

anyways, i'm starting uni in 3 weeks (what???) but i'm gonna try to be more active in these next 3 weeks so that's going to be fun 🙃

۶ৎ˙⋆ a follow through in faking by @bridgetl.rose 🎾🤍

so this incredible book is coming out tomorrow so i think it's finally time to post my review 🙈

rating: 5☆

first of all thank you so much for the opportunity to beta read and get an arc for this amazing book!!

i'm not a big sports girlie, but if there are 2 sports i like, it's formula 1 and tennis, so you just know that when bridget first posted about her tennis romance, i just had to read it 🤭

first of all, let's talk about catalina. she was such a strong fmc, both physically and mentally. during the book you can see her doing her best and giving everything she has to achieve her dream, becoming the #1 tennis player in the women's singles. her shirt collection is one of my fav things in this book, and her comebacks are just the best!!🙈

now santiago. if there's one thing i can't resist, it's a golden retriever mmc. and no one writes one as well as bridget. the way this man was SO gone for cata, and literally spent most of the book doing everything he could to get her to forgive him?? during the book we got to see how he deals with his anxiety, scrapbooking and spending time with his adorable bunny, tornado, who makes me want to also have a bunny.

everything about this book was perfect. all the characters were written so well, the whole childhood rivals and fake dating (my favorite trope might i add???) the banter, diverse representation and mental health rep was incredible, like in all of bridget's books and once you start it, you kinda forget you're actually reading. i can't wait to read the next book, and i know it'll be just as amazing as this one!

current reads

❛ NOTES: ༉‧₊˚ long time no see! i was in a really bad slump and could barely read but i’m finally posting once again with the book that’s been taking me out of my slump—caraval! i’m loving this book way more than i planned (see what i did there, i’m also reading duplicity) and i can’t wait to finish it and read book 2 & 3!

if we were villains is also such a cool book and i’m loving it! the plot is so interesting and it even makes me want to become an actress (that’s never happening) but to be completely honest it’s been taking me a little while to finish it, i couldn’t concentrate on it when i started it bc all that was on my mind was reading caraval so i put it aside to start reading that one, so hopefully i can finish it after finishing caraval!

in other news, i start uni next week🥶 i’m really going to have to organize my times so i can keep taking pics in the mornings, but don’t y’all worry, i’ll manage! when i was taking the pics for this post i was doing it so happy cause i really missed taking pics🥹 okay that’s it hope you have a great beginning of the week !
