Gusto kong mag-aral ng tagalog sa isang kapihan! ☕ Studying Tagalog today 😍🤓

I had my first Tagalog lesson on italki last week and today I'm reviewing my messy notes and rewriting them in my notebook. I'm so pleased I got a professional tutor because I can really tell the difference between a teacher who knows how to teach and someone who just speaks the language! She pushed me to the limits and I learnt a lot (and broke my brain) in one hour. Yippee!

🇭🇺🇵🇭In other news, I've chosen Tagalog and Hungarian to be my two focus languages for January to March 2021. I'll keep other languages active and work on them for fun, but the majority of my time will go to Tagalog and Hungarian. Have you set language priorities for the new year yet?

Aujourd'hui avec @ari_noyume ma copine d'étude yayy 💕💘

🇯🇵 LANGUAGE UPDATE: JAPANESE 🇯🇵

📚 Lately I found myself being burnt out by とびら book because I don’t have much time to dedicate to it, and as I want to use it at its full potential, I decided to take a hiatus

🥰 But thanks to my IG friends @ari_noyume and @hinabennet, I came up with a new strategy to advance in my 🇯🇵 studies besides uni homework

📍 The main 2 resources I am using at the moment are:
- @nihongono_mori N3 Grammar videos
- Blogs on Note that are written in Japanese to strengthen my reading skills + new vocabulary

🌿 I am loving this combo because it allows me to learn something new with my favorite method: listening to natives that explain grammar in the native language and reading about my favorite topics like anime, social media and languages

💭 which strategies / resources are you using to study 🇯🇵?

皆さん、こんにちは!👋😃
Inspired by @taylorlearnsjapanese posts, I started reading 🕵️‍♂️Calico Cat Holmes🕵️‍♀️ stories by Jiro Akagawa.🇯🇵 I am highlighting new words (with different colours for nouns, verbs, adj./adv. and grammar💙🌸💛🍏) and writing their meaning directly in the book. It is so much easier and more fun to read this way!
This week I managed to finish 9 pages and it took me about 20-30 minutes to read one page.🙈
Some good points about this method:
⭐It saves time on re-writing words in a notebook, so you can actually enjoy reading the book🥳
⭐Highlighting separates words and makes it easier to understand the grammar
⭐It looks cute😹 and you feel proud about your progess
⭐When reviewing, you can see words already in the context.

Thank you @taylorlearnsjapanese and @ari_noyume for introducing this way to read!💙💜💛 I have got two books with furigana against almost all kanji, Kiki's delivery service and Calico Cat Holmes, so I am going to read them using this method!
😺New vocab I learnt😺
刑事 (けいじ) detective
捜査 (そうさ) investigation
乱れ (みだれ) disorder, unrest
本格的 (ほんかくてき) genuine
不思議 (ふしぎ) ではない it is no wonder
...ような気がする have a feeling that...
壮年 (そうねん) prime of life
私語 (しご) をかわす to whisper
体格 (たいかく) physique
文句 (もんく)を言わずに without complaint
熱狂的 (ねっきょうてき) wildly enthusiastic, crazy about - this is me about this book!😹😍

[🇯🇵]Try!N2 という本の後で少し迷いを感じて、休もうと思い、公園でこの本を読むことにした!🌻 日本のことわざの本で、綺麗すぎるのイラストがあって、翻訳も付いている (^-^) 日本文化の興味がある方は絶対にこの本が好きになるだろうと思う。
一日で本の全部読み終えるのは無理だと思うけど、少しずつ、多分1日に3ページを読むのがいいだと思う、プレッシャーなしで読みたい。
日本のことわざを知っている?

[🇬🇧] After finishing my latest textbook I’ve been feeling a little bit lost and decided to read this book in the park!
It’s a book about Japanese proverbs with translations and VERY beautiful illustrations – I think people who are interested in Japanese culture would definitely like it 🌿
Do you know any Japanese proverbs?
