Mυʂιƈ Sρσƚʅιɠԋƚ ✦ Aria SL ✦ @aria______sl ✦

Aria SL is an artist and DJ who operates at the intersection of club, classical and leftfield electronic music, where bel canto vocals and pop songwriting collide.

She’s played at major arts institutions like the Southbank Centre and clubs such as The White Hotel and Ormside Projects. Her multidisciplinary approach also extends to the fashion world, having co-written the runway score for Yenesai’s SS25 show at Paris Fashion Week.

With a growing discography on forward-thinking labels like Illegal Data and LOFS alongside her residency on Noods Radio centred on all things ‘Future Pop’, she continues to establish a distinct yet amorphous identity, backed by early support from The Guardian, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, NTS and Nina Protocol.

Her seamless blending of classical, pop and electronic soundscapes makes her an obvious choice for the latest edition of XCHANGE.

over the last few months, I had the incredible honour and mind-blowing pleasure of writing a 12-part choir piece for Tai Shani's MIASMA exhibition: more specifically for a wall of 12 singing windows, each window a voice. when I look back on it, it's still really hard for me to wrap my head around it and believe it really happened. Tai's mythic, monumental text, and working so closely with it, singing it every day, thinking in it, arranging it into a self-expanding melody became one of the most beautiful experiences of my musical life.

to lead a group of so many outstanding singers, all singing at me with such power and courage, I never wanted it to end!!!

the biggest thank you to @taishani for trusting me and letting me do this!!!, @lucindachua for the otherworldly cello arrangements, @maxwellsterling for taking the production to a whole other level, @alex___mckenzie___ for the doomiest bass clarinet drones, and @josephfutak for engineering the sessions. I am truly so humbled and incredibly grateful to have experienced all of this with you and to have learned from you. 🌹

thank you to the amazing choir for bringing it all spectacularly to life:

✿ [LOFS037] Aria SL, Daniel Ball - Don’t deserve it & I fell so hard (feat. eleu) ✿

@__danielball__ and @aria______sl return to LOFS with a high-energy double single written with two things in mind – summer and festival sound systems. Laced with a heavy pop sensibility, ‘Don’t deserve it’ and ‘I fell so hard’ (featuring LOFS family member @_eleu__ ) are engineered for maximum dancefloor impact.

The release thrives on a precise, distinctive balance. The sub-heavy, technical production takes its cues from Daniel Ball’s affinity for sound system culture, acting as a heavy counterweight to Aria SL’s enduring obsession with artists like Justin Bieber, channeling anthemic and unforgettable hooks.
