“Melody is where my heart belongs.”

For Canadian singer-songwriter @arianafig_ , making music has meant learning to let go of perfection and trusting where a song wants to go.

From classical violin training to her debut full-length album, *So Long, Sinnerstate!*, Ariana has followed her instincts rather than trying to fit into a particular genre.

In our latest Good Hours interview, she talks about songwriting on quiet autumn evenings, hearing her younger self in old songs, and why music remains such a necessary part of her life.

Earth Eclectic 0130 is for The Endangered Endangered Species List. In the United States we have recently seen changes to the way we approach caring for our endangered and vulnerable species, i.e., the protections are waning as is the list itself which now appears to be endangered. I invite you to reflect with me on just a few of the creatures on the list and the uniqueness of each.

I saw 45 bands in September because of some amazing festivals. Here’s a few of them. I love my friends and live music so much, and nothing will ever change that.

Supercrawl and Second Summer Festival were amazing and there were so many bands I couldn’t go see because of timing issues with other things I was doing. Can’t wait to see what October has planned for me.

Ellevator should have made the dump at Second Summer but I only got videos of their new music and I don’t want to post them before they do 🫣 they’re incredible as always.
