I was once asked in a mock interview if I felt like Miss America was phasing out.

My answer in a nutshell was, take away your opinion briefly and see the joy this program brings women. The family it gives you. The interview skills and opportunities to serve in your community it creates. And so much more!!

I may have walked away as Miss Utah’s first runner up again but no crown could ever beat out the experience of a Miss Utah week.

I have poured so much of my life and heart in this program and cannot thank the people who have helped me enough!

Being Miss Greater Salt Lake has pushed me in more ways than I honestly even knew were possible. I had to learn to balance titleholder life and a full-time job for the first time and was able to advocate for food insecurity in a more hands-on legislative environment.

This year I won $5,350 in scholarship money that will help me start my Master’s, gained new friendships, and strengthened my bonds with so many people in my life.

I owe so much of my growth as a person, friend, professional and woman to the Miss Utah and Miss America Opportunity. This won’t be the last you see of me!

I had so much fun this last weekend helping and performing at the Miss Lehi pageant! I am so excited for the royalty this year, it’s going to be so amazing!

Congratulations @analeighameek I am so excited to serve with you this year! You’re going to be incredible and are going to change so many lives. I love you so much!

And also congratulations @arianuan for an amazing year as Miss Lehi and being so kind and loving to me and others. You truly have made a big do in my life. I love you. ❤️

And to all the contestants, you all did absolutely amazing on that stage. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you all these past few days!

Miss Utah week was crazy and unforgetable! I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I had this year and the friendships I have made. The woman I competed with are some of the most inspiring people I have ever met. Their poise, grace, passion, determination, and love are astonishing.

I learned so much about pageant land and about myself. (A very revealing experience in many ways hahah) I also learned a lot about the incredible amount of goodness that continues to go on in this world. I know that I, like all of us, can continue to be a part of that goodness.

What ever your path is in this life; filling it with people, love, and service will always be fulfilling! That is one thing that rung true this week and always will for me.

I am also so extremely grateful for the Miss Utah organization and providing such a wonderful experience and opportunity for growth and development. I am just as grateful for the opportunity I had to represent my city and love and support I have received from them!

A HUGE shoutout to my family! I love you all so much!!! I could not have made it up on that stage without you🫶🏻 They say that you are a combination of the people you are around the most and I am blessed to be around incredible people. All I am I owe to you!🤍
