Some people spend their birthday week partying.

Others, like myself, don't.

See, here's the thing they don't tell you about working out: YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LOOK AWESOME DOING IT. If you're working your ass off, if you're sweating so much your eyes sting, if you feel like you're gonna puke, that never looks sexy. It's not supposed to be. And for every single Instagram influencer who looks hot as hell working out, there are millions of photos they took to get there where they look just like me. Sweaty. Red-faced. Out of breath.

I don't work out so I'll look hot doing it. I work out so I feel amazing after I'm done. A side effect of that is losing weight, getting healthier, finding my cheekbones... And all that is an ongoing process. But in the end, I exercise because I like how I feel when I'm done. I like how I look, when I'm done, and I like how my brain works, when I'm done.

Don't compare yourself to anyone else. The race is only with yourself. Always will be. ♥️
