After 4 memorable years, this season marked our final one with our captain, Kim, as she moves on to her next chapter.

Kim has been a member of the Ballet Folklorico Orgullo de Nuevo Mexico since its founding in 2022. Her leadership and dedication to this team for the past four years has undoubtedly made an impact on our current and future dancers, leaving a legacy that will continue for years to come.

Kimmy, thank you for your leadership, friendship, and for all of the amazing memories. Your guidance from the very beginning has left a lasting impression in our hearts 💕 We are so grateful to have been able to dance with you! 🥹 We will miss you so much, but we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. Thank you for everything!!

WE LOVE YOU!!! ❤️❤️

Rooted in community, blooming with purpose 🌱✨

Such a beautiful day at Mira Las Cruces, where I had the honor of hosting a booth alongside two incredible sister queens, Miss Land of Enchantments Teen and Miss Valencia County’s Teen. Together, we planted flowers and herbs with our community—reminding us all that when we nurture the earth, we also nurture each other.

We were also surrounded by so many beautiful dance and musical performances that brought the event to life, along with meaningful land acknowledgements by the Mescalero Apache Tribe—a powerful reminder of the history, culture, and stewardship of this land.

Moments like these are a reminder that growth starts with small acts of care 💚 #MiraLasCruces #CommunityInBloom #ServiceWithPurpose

There truly are no words to fully capture how incredible this past week at @a_n_g_f was. Sharing space with so many passionate and talented dancers—each of us connected by our love for Folklorico—was nothing short of magical. For the past 51 years, ANGF has created a space where folkloristas from all over the world can come together to learn, grow, and celebrate the beauty of Mexican culture.

This week, I not only learned beautiful dances from across Mexico, but also had the privilege of witnessing incredible performances from local groups and deepening my understanding of the rich histories behind each region through the teachings of our maestros.

Folklorico is so much more than movement—it is storytelling, resistance, and remembrance. Every step we take honors generations of Mexican and Indigenous ancestors who laid the foundation for this art form.

Thank you, ANGF, for continuing to nurture this powerful tradition and for giving dancers like me a place to learn, share, and feel seen. I am so grateful. ❤️
