NICA Race #3!

It was so awesome getting to race on a course right here in Bentonville! It was super fast, fun, and flowy with just the right amount of tech… apparently just enough to give me a flat lol

Even with the flat, I had a ton of fun and was happy with my output! Congrats to my girl @ammiboyle on the win!

One to go… see you there!

A little bit of sparkle goes a long way in boosting confidence and keeping the vibes high. The glitter is a magic glow—a reminder of the confidence, strength, and fun every single rider brings to the trail! #GirlsRidingTogether #NICAGRiT #MoreGirlsOnBikes #SparkleAndShred #thadencycling @arnicagrit

Oops, we did it again! Sorry, not sorry🤪

LRSMTB held another GRiT Give It A Go event this past Tuesday and we were thrilled with how many girls showed up to participate! We got crafty making awesome painted rocks and bracelets, made plenty of silly faces, munched on snacks, and rode trails together. We chatted about what NICA and GRiT mean to us and the words fun, inclusive, competition, and friendship were repeated several times. We even had some of our returning female student athletes talk about the impact NICA and GRiT has made on them.

Special thanks to the @shesendsfoundation for supporting girls and women in cycling! And thank you to @nationalmtb @arkansasmtb and @arnicagrit for their continued support to get #moregirlsonbikes and for encouraging more female coaches on our teams! As a recipient of a NICA x She Sends grant, we were able to host a second all girls try it out event. This grant is all about helping us get more girls on bikes and making sure we feel seen, supported, and celebrated on and off the trails. She Sends is investing in our journey, and we think that’s pretty dang cool!

Additionally, we plan to create fun opportunities for our girls to continue to connect both on and off their bikes throughout our season.

The Stats:
43 Total Participants🎉
11 New Female Student Athletes
11 Returning Athletes
01 New Coach
13 Returning Coaches
02 Prospective Coaches
06 Parents
