I love my fashion, but I love it less for the way it looks and more for the way it feels ✨ I’ve found so much empowerment and liberation simply by curating a style that I feel like is truly my own. So much so, that I can feel the difference in my energy on the days that I put a few minutes of effort into crafting an outfit versus the days where I roll out of bed and grab the first thing I see in my closet. Cliché as it might sound, I’m a firm believer in the notion that when you look good, you feel good.

Growing up, I always felt like I was settling at retail stores for pieces that were *close enough* to how I truly wanted to express myself (all the while paying full retail prices 🙂‍↔️). I also had to appease a lot of adults in my life who felt uncomfortable with anything even remotely alternative. Thrifting changed the game for me. I would estimate that 50-75% of my wardrobe consists of thrifted/secondhand items; including some of my favorite pieces! I love buying secondhand because it requires me to think outside of the box and try pieces that I might not have considered if I saw them in a retail store. And in doing so, it’s also expanded my horizons with my fashion. It’s also more sustainable and cost-effective.

I think of my looks as a little vintage, a little punk, a little c*nty, a little eclectic and eccentric, with a whole lotta room of interpretation and expansion, and no room or interest whatsoever for fitting into any particular archetype or anyone else’s expectation of how I “should” present myself. I like it that way 😌
